Since Velasquez vs Lesnar I watched every single event including prelims, not a single fight missed.

Since about January this year I been watching only titled events, and since May I been missing out everything. Just to watch on youtube finishes in titled fights. Thats it.

Next stop probably Mcgoat fight.

Dont know what is, just is. Any1 can relate?

Not fed up but there are too many shit cards nowadays so some of the fight nights i tend to miss

Bro, did you not watch tonights FREE card?

Gaethje flat-lining Vick was awesome.

Just watched Gathje knock Vick thd fuck out....and it was incredibly satisfying

Wouldn't it be the reverse?
LIke wouldn't you tune in to the free fights and ignore the PPV fights except the big ones?

I used to watch all the fights once but not anymore. Sometimes when it's a boring fight i'll fast forward to the end of the round. Not into it like i was years ago.

You lost interest in MMA, is normal. It happens in relationships all the time. You start off totally obsessed with this girl who's "the love of your life", fast forward 5 years she's getting changed next to you titties hanging out and you can't even be arsed to look. Time to end the relationship. You know what to do: post porn and get banned.

I don’t think you can blame the UFC for everything.

Case and point - I’ve badly wanted to see Khabib vs Tony for ever. One fucking idiot can’t make weight, one fucking idiot can’t walk around without buggering himself on cables. The product is damaged by the fighters themselves too.

Turning casual = many events?

Didnt quite understand the title and the post.
Im a casual fan at this point. Im originally signed on to this forum to get my interest back up by talking to people who enjoy the actual fighting but most of the forum posters on her is casual fans with a limited understanding of fighting posting twitter beefs and controversial interviews, not careing to breake down fights or appreciate fighters techniqual improovements after the fact. Sherdog turned me casual, not the UFC.

mma iss like a soap opera bro. it's a love hate type deal. you'll be back when lesnar fights cuz your a hipster right now.

I only watch the fights that interest me. Which isnt many. Ive only watched the gaethje fight from last night and don't plan on watching the rest of the card.

Been a harcore fan back in Pride days and watched all events.

Now, I only watch a few title fights and some co mains when a fighter I like is there but I haven't been able to become fan of a new fighter since ages.
I just don't care now, UFC Fight nights cards are not interesting and the UFC official cards' quality is going downhill and downhill ...

Yeah man. From 2005 to the start of last year I never missed an event unless I had no choice because of work. Knew every fighter and was always excited about up coming events.

I don't really care that much now and while I still watch most events I'm no longer all that invested and if I miss a card I don't really care to much.

It got to watered down with all the fake drama, irrelevent belts and just general bullshit. I like fights, don't give a fuck about fake trash talk and manufactured bs drama which seems to be the most important thing in the UFC now a days and what gets you rewarded regardless of what you do in actual fights.

It's becoming monotonous and uninteresting.

MMA is the only sport I follow. I wouldn't say I'm casual, but interest is definitely waning. I would say it's a combination of canceled fights and top guys competing infrequently. Last event I went to was UFC 200.

I can relate because I understand how you could feel that way but I don't relate in actually feeling that.I watched UFC 1 on ppv and not really ever lost the overall care to watch mma.I think the most important thing is to take an hour or two out of your week..whether it be a whatever kinda day, just get home from work, chill, pull up the upcoming card and watch a few fights from the guys you don't know.Interviews or just whatever kinda footage.I don't have a twitter or instagram or any of that shit,I don't really care about that stuff but watching people fight and listening to interviews etc. will make you more familiar with the guys you don't know and ultimately make you more emotionally involved in their fight. So leading up to last night, that was iirc 3 weeks, that's gotta be some time you spent watching stupid videos of kittens/people crashing/getting punched for 3 hours when you coulda been watching some fights and learning about guys you didn't know.

It really does change things knowing about every fight and fighter. It's always sad, some people here are like,I ain't got time for that, and it's the same people making "I only know 3 name's on this card it sucks so bad" threads while posting complaints about the card for 8 hours in a single week.Footage, getting a connection to the fighter,it'll get you hyped. Also if you really want to up your ante ,go to mmajunkie fantasy forums and join the fantasy league (totally free of course and you'll be flipping out as you pick against some other person and join a team if you want etc.)

Better yet, post a dick pic. Porn is boring.

Watch what you enjoy. WMMA is generally terrible but the ever increasing level of men's MMA is constantly intriguing to me. There just aren't as many "folk hero" characters as there were earlier in the UFC. Everyone knew less and got behind the winners in a real way. The UFC were masterful at making their fighters seem like the best in the world even when they weren't during the UFC/Pride era. I enjoy fights for the combat but if you don't you don't have to qualify it. Watch the fights you care about.

The sport needs to change to grow the way it is. But people dont like change because it ruins their expectations, so they blame it on the sport, not themselves. All these "why is the UFC not so great as it was?" Threads are examples.
