Feature Request: Add option to ignore posts based on belt (Especially double yellows)

I'm all for free speech but I think it would be nice to have an option to say ignore everyone with double yellows or white belts. Usually I would never actually use it but sometimes I'm just not in the mood to read a bunch of crap and I happen to notice that most of the troll posts fit into one of these general patterns (Especially white belts which often mean fake nicknames). It wouldn't really be censorship since each person could choose who they wanted to ignore.

I'm just a humble poster here and post my share of mindless crap but still I thought I'd share the suggestion. Thanks for reading.

Fair enough, thanks for the response. It just seemed like a good idea to have a way for people to turn off a lot of the trolls. I know dubs don't necessarily mean a poster is "bad". I probably already deserved them a few times but went under the radar. But as I understand it there is some kind of probationary period so after that, if they are good little boys and girls, they get their belt back.

It isn't quite the same though since it would be ideal if a filtered persons topic would not even show up. That means after a Fedor loss I wouldn't have to waste half my time clicking on trolls made by white belts using fake nicks.

What is this with the fake nicknames? We all have the same username (well mostly all) that we started out with as white belts. They're just as 'fake' now as they were then.

Maybe it was a bad choice of words on my part either way. What I mean is that I suspect some of the trolls have or have had other Sherdog accounts and that they often register extra accounts only for trolling purposes. Thus the desire to automatically ignore those accounts to avoid a lot of it. I'm not advocating that we all post using our full formal names.

Oh I see, what you are advocating is to have us provide you with a means to just ignore the problem as you see it, instead of helping out and reporting the problem.

Hmmm. No, because my idea of what is a troll or a worthless thread may be different than yours. If I choose to ignore someone that does not necessarily mean I want to see them censored with others. If I see someone blatantly causing a problem, I'll send you a report. I have no problem helping out.
