Im still quite a beginner at boxing, and managed to break my nose in a sparring session 1,5 years ago. After that I have been overly cautios and rarely done some decent sparring since I have been afraid of my nose to break again. Lately Im in to sparring and dont mind getting a hell of a beating, but Im still overly worried that I will break my nose.

So, how easily does it break?

This fear really affect my sparring. The doctor that fixed it claimed that it wont break as easily next time. And actually its not the pain Im afraid of, its only to get a totally misplaced nose...

Don't know but here's some headgear with nose guard.

I've heard those bubble face masks arent very good...

I've broken my nose twice sparring( the second time straightened it out lol!)
buy head gear with the nose guard and keep the hands up.

May also want to adopt a stick and move style if you don't already.

Headgear with the cheek pieces will protect your nose from getting flattened too much, and not make you look like a astronaut:

Silverback Training Headgear - $39.00*USD (on sale too)

If that doesn't seem like enough, then your going facesaver.

I have the cheekpiece ones and stuff can still get through to your nose. Headgear with nose guard is probably your best bet.

It's true that it'll be harder to break your nose next time if that helps.
