He wants an accelerated path and wants to be a megastar within 2 yrs, getting the 155 belt and beating Islam is the way to do it. I don’t see how giving up your belt fighting in your natural weight class because you will struggle to make weight and don’t feel like killing yourself is an excuse, I guess you advocate for fighters killing there bodies to make weight?


Also most of your post is just speculation and butthurt, ilia is probably the most entertaining fighter on the roster right now and is a great fight for islam and much more interesting than anyone else at the moment

Yea i do think he is the best figting nerd. Its hard to pinpoint but he has a very natural and intuitive sense for fighting. We also havent seen him even bothered in the cage yet. People here will always argue on the lack of resume because thats the most comforting way to look at it, but as far the eye test goes, he has the look of a champion forsure.

While you are right to some extent, beating Islam is a much taller task than beating Eddie Alvarez. Beating Volk, Max and Islam in a row would be quite a feat. But I agree, he is looking at the shortest path possible.
