tacwar me personally i find the Americans a bit boring.
 
I actually grew up wrestling folkstyle and the Iowa style was always more exciting back in the 80s and early 90s so that is why you will see me choose the Iowa wrestlers any day, but on the world level I will give you gatsalov, but I'll take a Zaddick right now for Americans.
 
Sanderson is amazing, but he now he is not only an alum of ISU but the coach as well, and I will only root for him in World Competition, and JS is in fact OSU to the core, so although I respect them both as amazing wrestlers, I have to say ahem GO HAWKS!!, and with that said I hope the Olympic coverage in the next Olympics is better than what we have received in the past.
 
knoxpk Gaber is an awesome wrestler although i tend to watch freestyle more.

In the interest of full disclosure Gatsalov is about the only one on the list I have watched and actually caught the name of. Usually when I watch or listen to any world competition I am too focused on what the American wrestlers are doing to pay attention to who they wrestle or anyone else. I'd have to research the others to actually see their style. So in response I am an ignorant American I guess :D

What do you do when the Americans lose to them? do you not remember... or just try and forget?
 
Usually when I see an American lose I cuss, swear, and cuss some more, if I was a competitor I'm sure I would focus more on names, but I just try and enjoy the wrestling and watch the next match.
 
How is America doing recently, from what i have gathered its not looking so hot.
 
On the world scene we have never been as good as I wish we were, but I think we are building a better Olympic program, and continuing to build, but then again I am very biased.

whats the deal with Cael? How many years does he have on him? Two more olympics maybe? And i agree, last olympics coverage kinda sucked.
 
every olympic coverage sucks... no matter how many times i've been involved in petitioning sports networks they still have REALLY shitty wrestling coverage.
 
I met Tom Brands once and he was pretty cool, not to mention his style was just relentless. He's probably my favorite. I loved watching Cael wrestle in college. Just flawless from every position. He would make opponents just look clueless when he'd hit the ankle pick. Always looked like he was just taking it easy and drilling takedowns, and next thing you know he's almost teched a guy in the 2nd or 3rd period.
