Out of these 5 war movies, which is your favourite?

In order for me, as of right now, I would go

1. Apocalypse Now - I enjoy this movie more every time I watch it. Currently watching the Redux version

2. Full Metal Jacket - I watched this yesterday

3. Schindler's List - I watched this a few months ago

4. Saving Private Ryan - I watched this a few months ago

5. Platoon - need to watch again soon

Grew up on Platoon. Some of the others are better but that one holds a special place for me.

Platoon. I havent seen apocalypse now in a while though.

I've watched it twice in the last 4 months or so. I think the theatrical version is the best to see it. I have all 3 versions thanks to Jackie boy. The redux version, which I'm currently watching is the longest version of the movie. I can see why people say the plantation scene kind of slows the film down. It's good but wasn't needed.
I'm gonna watch the final cut sometime this year.

tbh I've only seen FMJ.

Not too big into war movies (while Battlefield is one of my most played games).

I know the story of Apocalypse Now because of this game Spec ops the line.

We Were Soldiers also deserves a mention.

I’ve seen Schindler’s List for the first time just last month. Absolutely splendid film.

As for the rest, SPR and Platoon are tied as the GOAT war films imo. Apocalypse always puts me to sleep. FMJ is too dramatic for me.

As side from the others mentioned already, I haven’t seen a decent war film since Eastwood’s Flags and Letters.
