Out of these 1985 action movies, which is your favourite?

For me I'm going with Jackie.

Essentially the match-up is Arnold vs Sly vs Jackie vs Chuck vs Mel vs Bronson

Commando might’ve been the first R rated movie I saw so I’ll go with that one.

Police Story is the best but Commando is special to me. I remember when I first saw it as a kid and it was my fav movie for a while.

We had it on VHS and one time, during the scene where Arnie and Bill Duke are fighting in a motel, there's a moment where they fall through a door into a neighboring room and for like 0.2 seconds you get a flash of some girls 80's frankentits. Well, times was tough back then and I fapped to that little flash of boobies by rewinding it like 30 times (Pausing caused too much interference)

I know anyone who grew up in the 80's/90's has stories like this

John Candy movie called Armed & Dangerous where they're at a peep show and you can see her tit's in the reflection

Sucked? First Blood and Rambo: First Blood Part II are legit great films. The third one jumped the shark with Stallone trying to compete with Arnold's brand of action comedy, so suddenly the sad martyr Rambo is cracking wise in the desert as the Russian army comes to kill him. But the first two are all-timers. The sequel is so great because Stallone explored Rambo's pathos much more - reworked by Stallone from a script, BTW, originally written by James Cameron, a script so awesome that they made TWO movies out of it, the Rambo sequel and Missing in Action - and put him back in Vietnam. Charles Napier is also fantastic as the bureaucrat villain, no hate in his heart just a pencil-pushing scumbag. There's literally nothing about the movie that doesn't rule. And the cherry on top is the extraordinary sequence on the boat with Julia Nickson when he explains what it means to be expendable -- the self-awareness that Rambo has combined with the stoic acceptance of his role is beautiful writing and Stallone delivers it exceptionally. That's as close as action movies get to poetry.

Naww Rambo was dogshit as a movie but it had several cool parts that made it. I actually liked 3 better overall.

Ass backwards take, dude. 3 is the weak link in the original trilogy. The first two are legendary. Hell, Ronald Reagan was quoting lines from the sequel and the press nicknamed him Ronbo. First Blood and Rambo: First Blood Part II are action movie HOFers.

Police Story wins by a country mile. Love Commando too and Tina Turner was my first crush so Thunderdome is the shit no doubt about it.

Code of Silence for me. Alligator farming?

Kudos to @GoodBadHBK for knowing his shit enough to even know this one, but it's always been tough for me since it's basically an exhibition for the vastly superior in literally every way Above the Law. They're so similar, they have so many of the same actors, it's just when Seagal showed up everything was elevated: Better story, better script, better character, better action, better fighting. I do give Andrew Davis and Chuck Norris credit, though, for doing their own version of Billy Jack going down swinging in the park in Billy Jack. I love the scene when Chuck goes to the pool hall knowing he'll have no back up.
