Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)
Green Lantern because it's the best power you can imagine. A ring that allows you to bring your thoughts to life, gives you incredible power and responsibility - but unlike Superman, you can discard your power and live as a normal human whenever you feel the need. You are as invincible or vulnerable as you need to be, plus it's just a creative, interesting power and character. The history of the character is fantastic and storied, his villains are neat, he deals with both magic and science and can hang with all the top tier badasses.
I like Rayner for his backstory, his original appearance replacing the incredibly stale and boring Hal Jordan with someone interesting and relatable, as well as likable, the art that depicts him... his costume looks great.. and just Ron Marz's run on GL was really something special. He turned Hal Jordan around and gave him new life, really saved the character, invented the best GL character period and one of the best comic-book characters period, brought emotion and gravtiy to the stories, the stories made sense and flowed well... it's absurd how much better he was at absolutely everything than Geoff Johns.
