What is everyone's favorite cut of beef or steak

I love the T-Bone and I think that both times I ate the 5lb steak it was sirloin.

We have a deli on the other side of town that features huge ribeye sandwiches, big hunk of prime rib, on a freshly baked kasier roll, smothered with horseradish sauce and then layered with slices of beefsteak tomatoes. Comes with a side of texas fries.

*DEE-LICIOUS*

Filet with a balsamic reduction. First time I had it was in Florence and I've been in love w/ it ever since.

I'm also a sucker for a good corned beef reuben if that counts.

English (which means very bloody in Germany - only with steaks :D) with green pepper sauce. Enjoying a good steak is worth living for!

Has to be prime rib, medium rare, with yorkshire pudding and au jus. Family tradition for Christmas.

Hmmm, this might should be in the Dieting and Supplementation section. Heh heh.

My favorite cut is one I'm not sure many others enjoy. It's the eye-round roast. Especially using grass-fed beef, where the fat is omega-3 fat and rather than being detrimental to the nutritional value of steak, it adds to it because omega-3 fat is so healthful.

It's also versatile. A couple slices of it make for good eatin', and it makes a good steak sandwich that isn't too thick or tough to eat like a roast beef sandwich.

The cooks hate me for that, but I can

Rare peppercorn new york.

There is a steak house in Whistler BC that serves any sized steaks. You basically tell them how big and they go and cut one.

I had a 30oz peppercorn new york there. Rare.

I love these steaks because there is no nasty gristle, just meat.

That 30oz steak left nothing on the plate. No bone, no chunks of fat, nothing.

Slept for 3 hours after that meal just to let it settle.

Argentinian grassfed tenderloin. Followed by a big juicy rib eye. Bloody. Always accompanied by extremely salty fries.

What's the place called? The wife and I were talking about heading there for a weekend soon.

Gotta go with the peppercorn t-bone....

Steak is like pu$$y. Even the worst piece I ever had was pretty damn good.

It's hard to beat a rare New York stip though.

*eyes turkey sandwich with hatred*

When I was young we went to a place and they wheeled out a big cart from the cooler that had different kinds of steaks and you just told them where to put the knife and cut. They charged you per ounce. You could even order cuts from all of the different steaks if you wanted.

i'm going to have to agree with TheNerdKing, i can't say no to a peppercorn new york steak, i have not had 30oz in a sitting but that sounds just awesome. I get mine medium though.

top sirloin. T-bone, Angus cut. Love it. bad thread as Im hungry . cooked medium

I'm with Bacon: just about any steak is good steak. As long as it's a big enough piece to be enjoyed and cooked at least enough not to still be mooing while I eat it, it's all good.

It was called Hy's Steak House. Can't remember address as I was not driving and therefore, I was drinking...

It's expensive but worth every penny.

All the various sirloins from a Brazilian churrascaria!! The fact that it is all the meat you can eat, makes it my favorite place on earth!!! Man listening to the descriptions on this thread made me hungry!

Agree with the peppercorn, but not rare.

In regards to your 3 hour nap, its called a "food coma". I always have to remember when I eat a lot of meat that I'm gonna be worthless for a few hours.

I have actually grown quite fond of tri-tip recently. That's sirloin tip for some of you. It's got a lot of connective tissue so I usually cut it into 3/4" steaks, use a needler (meat tenderizer) on it, season it and fry it up in my cast iron skillet... them's good (and lean) eats.
