The jail burrito? They take a trashbag and dump a bunch of saved up food into it for a mix. They make it nice and hot, and serve it up. If it wasn't in the trash bag, you wouldn't think twice about eating some.

I've got quite a few food options in the fridge. Don't think I'll be sampling the spread any time soon. Be hard to fuck up ramen so it can't be too bad.

Since I've never been to prison, I'll relate these items to childhood lunch cafeteria food.

In this case, I'll go with salisbury steak, as square pizza was not an option.

The rice and meat/beans...

Or the chicken patty.

The Type of spread you eat would be based on which prison system you're in, spread isn't the actual 3 meals a day served by the kitchen workers you idiots.

Around here Ramen noodles and Spicey cheetos were the shit, and considered the best spread. Then you could save your spice packet for the regular jail food.

With a 50 dollar a week limit on commissary it's usually 10 ramen, 5 flaming cheetos, 10 bags of chips (variety), 10 candy bars, 2 instant coffee containers and the rest on hygiene/personal ($10-15) for a total of 50 bucks. At least for me it was.

I heard federal jails have access to a lot more variety in terms of commissary.

As for the best actual meals, I always loved the taco's or whenever they served pancakes.

Bologne sammiches are the worst eh? someone did a weekend in county it looks like. Bologne was one of the better lunch sandwiches you could get.

You ever get that catfood looking "meat" sandwich mixed with loads of mayo? It's the only meal I'd never eat and you get mad hungry in jail.

Everything practically revolves around meal time.

Wake up at 6am for chow, go back to bed, wake up for lunch then workout and shower and bullshit till dinner, watch tv or gamble till lockup.

Rinse and repeat, with outside rec 30 minutes a day that changed randomly for each cell pod/block.

I had some great chili with a grilled cheese sandwich one time. But both the bologna and ham sandwiches I've had were fucking disgusting. There was a few cups of rice going around between about 20 of us one time I didn't get to try it.

.
You're not seriously calling people idiots are you?

Thinking about it, the only time I've spent any time in anything even resembling a jail was when I woke up in the drunk tank in South Melbourne police station. Fuckers didn't even offer me a cup of coffee - just let me stagger out into the middle of fucking nowhere (as far as I was concerned) into the blazing morning sunshine.

I had the opposite problem the first time I had to stay in a cell. Despite the vomit stained sheet and the rock hard pvc 'pillow' I managed to get a doze. I was woke through a hatch offering a 'tea or coffee' I said no thank you and they proceeded to bang on the door and offer me coffee every 30min. For hours!!! They were not doing it because they thought I was drunk.

Yes, yes I am.

How is Jelly and/or Syrup not an option?

A booty warrior has to eat too.

i dont know because im not scum that went to prison, they should be fed with poison for all i give a fuck, i dont want my taxes to feed criminal filth

Never had any of that shit you posted in jail. The best/worst was the peanut butter. It was the best because it's delicious but it's also worst because you're spending your next out time on the shitter.

Still worth it...

I once posted an old favorite, and it was dubbed prison food.

Take one can of tuna, packet of ramen, mix in half a packet of Kraft mac and cheese cheese packet, stir in the ramen spice, and boom.

Shit is tasty.

I'm sure it would be a hit in prison.
