Fat Bar Recommendations?

I bought a stick of solid 1086 CR steel, 2 inches in diameter, 8 feet long, from a local steel yard for $117 after tax. I have loaded it to 1000 pounds just to see, and it didn't flex at all. No knurling, but why would you want knurling on a fat bar when you're working grip?

I use hose clamps for inner collar stops; seat collars work too.
