Farewell Thunder

Not to those who make the decisions.

Its subjective whether they are the ones who make the decisions or not. Just because someone makes a decision based on something subjective, does not make it right or wrong, just subjective.

He attempted to make paragraphs, he just forgot to hit 'enter' more than once.

Top 10 fighters shouldn't be cut, simple as that really, hard to keep a credible imagine when you cut a fighter because he refuses to stand and bang, fact is Okami steam rolls through 90% of the division.

It is not subjective as to who makes the decisions. There are people who decided that Okami deserved to be cut. They were being 100% objective.

Zuffa has the right to do whatever they want, does not mean okami deserved to be cut. Seems like you're just trying to stir up shit, get a life.

Then who deserved to get cut? Again, do you decide who deserves to get cut or does Zuffa? Zuffa does.

Zuffa has the authority to cut fighters who do not deserve to be cut too you know.

If you look at some of the fighters he beat Hector Lombard, Alan Belcher, Buddy Roberts, Nate Marquardt, and Mark Munoz still in the UFC. It makes you stretch your head why Okami had to go.

Because all of them have a bigger fan following than Okami does. If people wanted to see him fight, he would still be in the UFC.

And it's not just a "hurr durr they just want guys who will stand and bang!" The UFC wants fighter's to become fan favorites. GSP and a whole host of other fighters don't stand and bang, but people are invested in them as fans, so they tune in to see them.

They define what it means to be deserved to be cut. Therefore, anyone who gets cut deserves it.

LOL that's some terrible circular reasoning. If a bully punch you in the face it's because you deserve it, otherwise you would not have been punched. Sounds kinda similar doesn't it?

Not too familiar. Not all of us get punched in the face. But if we signed a contract that said we could get punched in the face if we lost, then we would deserve it.

Let's try to be serious for a sec here, to deserve something or be treated in a way that is legal can be two very different things. Your insisting on them being the same is just your opinion, not some fact as you want it to seem like.

My counter point is, who cares. Move on. 2 months from now, Okami's name won't even be mentioned on here again.

Because anyone interested in real fighting and credible sports have left sherdog?

Or...

Because well all be talking about how the fucker just cut phil davis?

No thanks.

He changed the game. It might stop being all about Okami, but thats not something you can paint over.

So tell me what Okami deserved since everyone is saying that he did not deserve this. What did he deserve then?

The only people who can decide what Okami deserves are the people who Okami gave that control to.

Being a top ranked fighter is not good enough to be in the organization? And anyone that have seen his career in the UFC have their own opinion whether he deserves the treatment he got or not. That UFC cutting him doesn't automatically means he deserves it, it only means they somehow think he deserves it.

Farewell Okami, I will start watching Bellator because of you.

keep your head high Thunder!

Okami being ranked is highly subjective. The truth is that he isn't a top ranked fighter just because fans or reporter's think that he is. Rankings are, after all, subjective.

UFC themselves had him ranked as #6 before they cut him. How would it then make sense to cut him while he still had that high a ranking, if we're supposed to consider the UFC being a serious sport?

The UFC isn't a sport. Wow. Usually people with join dates like yours aren't the way that you are.

The UFC sure is promoting themselves as a serious sport organisation, what else is the point with rankings and such? And what's with your being hung up on join dates, a reasonable post or not have nothing to do with join date.
