Which series is your favourite?

Both are incredible staple video game franchises and some of the best games ever made.

But if you had to say you like one just a bit more which would it be?

Personally I slightly prefer Fallout, i just love its style! The retro futuristic look with a post apocalyptic twist is so cool to me and it’s lead to some incredibly recognisable designs like Vault Boy, Deathclaws, Super Mutants, Ghouls, the PipBoy and of course Nuka Cola.

Anyways that’s my opinion what’s yours??

I only played Oblivion and Skyrim. My kids would be torn between Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim. They'll probably lean towards FO me thinks.

I haven't played all the games but based on what I played

Skyrim = more hours of gameplay and more replayability but each hour is less fun
Fallout = less hours of gameplay but those hours (campaign) are very fun

So like a quality vs quantity thing. I guess both have their place because eventually you run out of quality.

I prefer the fallout aesthetics and style over the swords and sorcery of Elder Scrolls. But at the end of the day, Elder scrolls games are more immersive for me. Going through some sections and stumbling on different areas have been some of the most captivating game experiences I've ever had. I love Fallout too, but it doesn't quite hit on that level. I think partially it's because a nuclear wasteland somewhat limits the variety.

Morrowind beats anything in the Fallout series (IMHO)
I've never played Arena or Daggerfall but have played FO1-4 and NV. New Vegas is probably the most enjoyable for me. I never finished FO4.

I will concede to TS that the worldbuilding in FO is fantastic in terms of the feel and vibe of the games.

Fallout , it was the first Bethesda title I played, I lost hours of my life to that game and all the DLC.
Skyrim was meh, I just could never get into it no matter how many times I tried. All of my friends loved Skyrim and Oblivion. Guess I missed the boat .

The answer is Cyberpunk
I love this game and lore. I’m going through my 3rd playthrough right now this time as a corpo .

Fallout. I played 3 before any TES game. New Vegas was the only time I ever went to a midnight launch for a game. 4 wasn't a good as the PS3 games but still good. I even put over 100 hours into 76. I started and stopped Skyrim so many times before playing it all the way through just recently.

I love both, a lot. Tough decision but if I was forced to choose between the two it would be ES.

Fallout.

I tried to get into Skyrim/Elder Scrolls, but I just couldn't.

Elder Scrolls because of Ulfric Stormcloak. I also didn't like Fallout 1 & 2

It's a tough question.

I adored Morrowind and Oblivion when I was younger, as well as Fallout 3. I'd pick Oblivion over 3, especially due to the Sheogorath DLC. I missed Morrowind s bit when I was playing it though.

I skipped over New Vegas due to my life at the time being terrible.

I tried to get into Fallout 4 but couldn't. I have hours in Skyrim, but I have yet to complete it. I may reinstall it soon and continue it.

I've really enjoyed Fallout 76, even though it's not the best Fallout. I've tried to get into Elder Scrolls Online a few times, but despite the fact that I should love it, seeing a polished Morrowind and more areas, it's not sticking.

So currently, Fallout, but my peak was Morrowind and Oblivion, but I don't see myself tolerating the combat or bugs in Morrowind anymore.

Give Outer Worlds a run. It's fantastic.

For me it’s Fallout, but honestly due to my love of the first two. Doesn’t seem a popular opinion though. Still can’t believe in Fallout 2 you can end up as a fluffer in the porn studio. Thankfully, I never looked it up until later.

Morrowind and Oblivion got more playtime than FO 3/NV/4 though. Sadly I never got into Skyrim.

Skyrim's great, couldn't get into the other ES games. Just never hit for me.

Haven't played 76, also haven't played a FO I didn't like.

So Fallout gets my vote.

Corpo is really fun. Haven't tried the others yet. Which do you recommend for second playthrough? Was leaning towards nomad.

To answer TS question I preferred FO. Both are great but fantasy is way more represented to post apoc so that may be why I lean that way.

My first play through was as a nomad. I enjoyed that path the most so far. You start outside NC and get kicked out of the Bakkers clan. You meet Jackie outside NC and go on a quest to import something ( it’s an Easter egg, you’ll only notice this when you choose Nomad) which you’ll see during the heist mission. Once you enter NC it’s just the same as the other LP, only real unique dialogue you get is when you have anything Nomad related.

I love the lore CP 2077, the Bozo’s are my favorite gang lol and I was happy that Ozob was in the game lol.

Fallout New Vegas was the Bethesda title I played first from any of the series and that game had me hooked . I spent a good portion of summer replaying that FC3 lol.

Skyrim is a decent game I just didn’t enjoy the pacing or the story line I guess. I love fantasy and anything to do generally in that genre but ES just doesn’t scratch that itch for me

Morrowwind and oblivion were such great games i didnt play as much of skyim as i did those 2, but those games id say made me fall in love with those kind of games. I think they were the games that fathered all the rpg games i love.

I tried to play some fo games but just never got into them much.

The Elder Scrolls had better story, but I think fallout was more entertaining and funny.

Both franchises are just excellent and what games in the industry strive to be.

Fallout New Vegas and Oblivion were monumental at the time they were released so I'd say those were my favorites from each series. They are all good, though.
