What do you think the over and under of some faithless electors going against Trump? I bet it is going to happen.

It was brought up in 2016. I think it's even less likely this year.

If they were going to do it, it would have been 2016. They had Hollywood celebrities making artsy-fartsy looking commercials so the country could understand how serious the situation was.

What do you mean?
There were ten faithless electors in the 2016 US Presidential Election. Three of their votes were invalidated. Seven were validated. Five of those were against Hillary, two were against Trump. Three of the Hillary votes went to Colin Powell. One went to Bernie Sanders. One went to a Native American politician named Faith Spotted Eagle. Of the two Trump votes, one went to Ron Paul and the other went to John Kasich.

Christ, I didn’t know that. That’s terrifying.

There was a SCOTUS case that ruled they couldn’t do this. I don’t think it covers each state due to what the case was based around but so long as a state explicitly states what they are obligated to do, I think they can’t do it.

Yes, that's why at least some of the faithless elector votes were thrown out.
