Although I would say not really because it doesn't seem to be lack of sex that's the issue, its the mindset that picking up very good looking women is the main status symbol and the inability to do so(likely not helped by following such an egotistical mindset) becomes a source of misogyny.

Maybe there are "terrorist" areas of the incel world but I suspect this kind of thing is more "crazy lone wolf latches onto something" a lot of the time.
