Is normal. A 16oz Fairtex glove is the same size as a 10 or 12 oz Twins glove.

Good to work on defence, I guess.

breatable bgv1 12 oz smaller than bgv1 non breatable 10 oz

Have you weighed them to see if they are true 12 ounce gloves (or close) or are they coming in under weight?

So I'm a bit confused.
The regular version are bigger than the breathable version?
In the pics it looks like the breathable version is the smaller one.

Looking to buy a pair but can’t decide on breathable or regular.

Have any other people had the same experience about the breathable being smaller?

I’ve got a pair of 16ozbreathable gloves and 12oz regular bgv1 they are about the same size, but obviously the 16oz is more padded

Then it seems like breathable could be the best for mma/self defense

It is harder to block shots but easier to sneak shots through someone else’s guard. I think the smaller profile gloves make you a better fighter

Very noticeable, wonder if people would think wtf and want to inspect them

I have 10oz bgv1 and now wonder if 16oz breathable would look similar

I have had people ask about my gloves before sparring they definitely look way smaller than 12oz twins for example
You can tell they are more padded than my 12oz bvg1s they are fatter with the padding just not much longer if that makes sense

my last question with the breathable might be whether your teammates will think you’re a dick because you’re using a glove that looks like a baby bag love and I’ve seen the claims about the breathable mesh feeling terrible while you’re clenching

And I guess whether it really does last substantially less

I can’t comment on if they last long, my 1st pair got stolen and I’ve only had these ones for 3months
I don’t clinch much to be honest and when we train clinching it’s usually just in wraps.
Nobody has commented on the gloves after I’ve explained that they are indeed 16oz. Overall I like them but they probably wouldn’t last as long as the full leather version but I do prefer the grip bar. if I was buying again I probably would go for bgv16 which are all leather and have the grip bar or the new fairtex ‘one’ series glove

I’ll have to look into those options. Not much on the fairtex site currently
