The last person to blemish the record of Conor McGregor, Joseph Duffy spoke to PETER CARROLL about his meeting with the Dubliner in 2010 at Cage Warriors 39

I wonder why Duffy isn't in the UFC. He is 12-1, 11 finishes, 2 finishes over up and comers Conor McGregor and Norman Parke, both in the UFC.

    Odd.

    Thanks!

He left MMA to pursue boxing and went 7-0 in boxing, before returning in 2014 and the UFC have now signed him

Good article. Both Conor and Parke rematches could be big for him in the future.

Watching the Goat scream and tap before going unconscious was shocking! Really humanized Mcgregor in my eyes.

I was at that fight in Cork. My housemate knew Aisling Daly and we headed down.
I knew nothing about Conor at the time, but he seemed to have a buzz about him. He lost before he had a chance to do anything and I immediately forgot about him until he broke here a few years back.

Obviously after the fight I thought Duffy had a bright future. Weird now that i look at it.
