Long story short, ever wonder how they could predict who was in pictures to recommend tags? I had thought it was location data of who you were with at the time the picture was taken. Apparently, they built up facial recognition of everyone just from the loaded FB pictures. Not having you slowly (and willingly and consentingly) move your face on front of the camera like for iPhones face unlock.
I'm sure they've since sold all of this facial recognition data to various CIA and government agencies.
When can we start criminally charging the corporate decision makers who allowed these illegal practices to go through? Rather than simply fining companies with billions in profits a few hundred mil? They still made money on their data harvesting here, I guarantee it.

"Companies like Amazon and Clearview AI are marketing face matching software to law enforcement agencies to help them identify unknown suspects." The ACLU warns that this will eliminate a person's ability to remain anonymous in public.
