If you watched the video Mark mentioned that at least 8 times. He admits having 7 cameras an two nano projectors or whatever he called them caused the frame size. He said now goals to make the frame smaller an improve the resolution an FOV.

He said just in the last year was able to put the electronics into the glasses. I have a feeling Jensen was there to meet with Mark an hardware engineering over making this smaller. Both likely see how rendering high quality imaging could require powered by servers externally.

It's pretty remarkable that they can cram so much into those frames as it is. I'm still amazed by the Steam Deck. Imagine how things will be a decade down the line, and further.

I think the biggest leap will have to come from battery technology, along with improvements in upscaling. Do they say how long these glasses can run on a single charge? I like HTC's new headset, where you can easily swap batteries, but they also have a smaller one that kicks in when you remove the main battery, just so the device can stay powered while swapping.
