Fabiano Iha

Can any of you out there tell me a anything about Fabiano Iha?
I would really like to hear from people who have actually trained with him or is\was a student of his.
I do know he is a BJJ BB belt, did MMA, has been around for a while, and is known for his arm-bars.

What I would like to know are things like:

Who did he train under?

Who awarded him his BB?

Was he ever a Brazilian, Mundial, or Pan-Am Champion?

And most importantly how is he as a jiu jitsu instructor (gi)?

I ask because he is now teaching jiu jitsu classes at a gym close to my house and I am considering taking my teen boy there.

all i know about fabiano iha is what is saw in the early ufcs


id check his school out

He was an armbar machine in the UFC

don't think he won alot of competitions in BJJ since he moved on to the US and MMA when BJJ was still very raw and there were't alot of competitions about. He is one of the founders of team punishment and was the coach of ortiz and rodriguez.. I think ur kid would be previledged to train under such a guy.

remember that andre pederneiras and carlos gracie jr weren't world beaters when they competed and they ended up being (possibly) the best bjj coaches ever
