Its clear now that Jones gets one free eye poke per fight. I cant remember a fight where he didnt poke his opponent.

Are we still discussing if its deliberate or "accidental"?

Uriah Faber never poked that dude in his last fight since the ref didn't call it. Never happened.

Pretty much says it all. At that time it was a couple of hours after the fight, and Cormier's eyes are STILL hurting.

    Your delusional.

And it's obviously deliberate whether you want to classify them as eye pokes or almost eye pokes. He deliberately puts his fingers on his opponents eyes in every single fight he is in.

    bbbuuuuuttttt it's just an accident!

He deliberately puts his hand in their faces, yes. And it has resulted in pokes, yes. 3 of them to be exact.

It's not uncommon for tall, lanky strikers that put their hands in peoples faces and occasionally poke them.

Were their any eyepokes on the prelims? It's getting harder for me to believe they are accidental, especially from one of the top fighters in the sport.

I don't remember Semmy Schilt or Stephan Struve poking & it's I feel it's because they weren't trying to open palm their opponents faces.

There were 9 other fighters & they all went to decision without a single poke. But it's just a coincidence.

I feel there are different types of fighters in terms of how dirty they are. You could call it the Yvel-Couture classless, dirty scale. Jones is definitely on the Yvel side of the spectrum. I think he now has more eyepokes than "Dirty" Bob Schriber. The UFC should keep track of it like knockdowns.

He's had more than 3 in his last 3 fights alone. 1 for Alex, 2 for Glover & 1 more for Cormier. That is 4 & it's not counting his face-raking, just finger in eye socket.

No need to lie on behalf of him, Bob Gray, repeatedly.

Inb4: Somebody says that he doesn't poke his oponents eyes, just do things that look like eyepokes, hurt like eyepokes, poke like eyepokes but aren't eyepokes.

Some time ago, Bas Rutten stated that Jones should no longer receive warnings for eye pokes, but rather should be deducted a point immediately since he has a history of eye pokes. I completely agree. Jones will not change his strategy/style/behavior unless official enforce the rules that Jones consistently breaks, whether it's incidental (which I think it is) or intentional.

Did he eye poke all of you? Is that what's making you cry?
