Good fight, JBJ regardless to my (or anyones for that matter) feelings is a great fighter, but a fucking cheap one. In every fight he pokes his opponents, intentionally or not its fucking ridiculous. Everyone else would be dq'd or at least warned, but nope.

And dont get me wrong, im fine with decision, im not fine with potentially life-altering eye pokes.

I don't know why they just deduct a point. Big John said about 43123 times that Jon should watch his hands. Deduct a point or STFU.

He's a dirty fighter. Always thought that but it also shows what he willing to do in there to win and I kinda respect that. He lost tonight though.

Apparently you guys were blinded by hate that you did not see the part where Gus punched with his thumb extended and poked Jones hard in his left eyes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but was Gus not actually throwing a punch when he did that? Not pawing an open hand into someones face like Jones did?

I stand to be corrected if I'm wrong

Yeah I hate the way Jones puts his fingers out near the opponents eyes. I thought BJM at least addressed it but refs need to be more aggressive. Warning, 2nd warning, then points taken off even if no damage is done.

Thanks. Joking aside, it seems crazy that you can smash your forearm or fist into an opponents eye area and its the fingers that can cause the serious damage. I guess it is due to the finger being a more direct contact as opposed to the fist being spread across an area as a whole. Still pretty shite as I have been poked in the eye while trying to armbar my 5 year old and it really hurt.

I just checked again. Thumb was tucked and it did not hit the eye.

Here you can see the hand is fully closed.

And this is the exact point of impact, where the thumb is clearly not protuding from the fist. After this the hand glides directly to the right, not up towards the eye.

The thumb didn't even hit his eye, hit underneath it. Plus it was an actual strike, not an eye-poke.
