After bouncing for a couple of years in Austin I never go to bars. Drunks are terrible to be around. Also, living like a vampire is bad for your health.

I did not know Finland had gotten so violent. What caused the change? Was it all the migrants?

The security company I worked for in the late '90's and early 2000's provided security for a bunch of McDonalds locations in Toronto. Some were for dealing with ghetto kids during school hours, some were for dealing with the night club crowd after hours. Nothing quite like seeing a major down town intersection shut down because of a 20 person brawl between a hand full of security guards and a bunch of drunk party goers.

Yeah bud. In your backyard. Queen and Spadina McDonald's since about 2001. Not sure if they still have it since the club district evaporated, though.

I worked for 2 years because at the time i figured there wasnt much else i could do except stand in a doorway ruining peoples night. I might as well tell some random stories since im half drunk and i make most of the threads here while drunk or hungover.This will be a long post so feel free to skip.

Mcdonalds

Mcdonalds around here was a stepping stone and a gut check for new bouncers, basically people used to say that if you could survive mcdonalds,you could survive a bar/nightclub. I got put in to the toughest mcdonalds in the city because my boss told me that clubs were for bouncers that proved themselfs and i hadnt earned a club spot, also he was a sadistic fuck.At best there were 5 bouncers inside that mcdonalds because there were fights going on all the damn time on weekends and during the week on ordinary workdays you were working alone dealing with drug dealers standing outside and junkies trying to get in to shoot up since most places were closed on at nights during the week.Most crazy stuff i saw was in this mcdonalds and not in clubs or bars

for example i literally had to choke a guy because there was no ketchup

Basically guy comes in buys a basic big mac meal and goes to the spice station, notices theres no ketchup and starts apocalyptic screaming similar to arnold in predator and calling the staff cunts for not having ketchup, i run over tell him to shut up and leave, he tells me to go fuck myself after which i proceed to rnc him, drag him near the entrance, hit his head against a pole "accidentally" then handcuff him and wait fo 5-0.

Syringe attack

working with my partner on friday, some junkie got past us while we were somewhere else and is in toilet shooting up. I go down there to wait for him to come out ,usually junkies flush needles so you dont have to worry about being stabbed with them and while they just had mainlined,they were easier to push around.,
Except this guy didnt, he opens the door syringe still in his hand and lunges at me,i manage to block the syringe and start wrestling for it for my life. I scream in to the radio to partner to come help but he doesnt answer. While im fighting he is upstairs talking to some russian girls and hes turned his radio off so he can hear them better like i later find out. I end up kneeing the druggie to the nuggets 2 times before he goes down and i can handcuff him.After shift yelled at colleague.

Gypsy girl

After 6 months in mcdonalds i got moved to bars.Armed with PTSD from fast food industry,anti-social attitude and a thousand yard stare i was eager to ruin peoples nights to feed my moon sized ego.i was working in the center of the city in a bar that was near a romani gypsy beggar hangout that you see everywhere in europe,they used to come up and ask if they could use the bathroom and usually i turned them away. One week i wrestled a guy, bounced his head against a doorway and threw him in to the street.One gypsy girl comes up to me and asks me in english why im so violent and always fighting , i just answer "security"

week later same girl comes up and ask if she can have some lemonade, i think what the hell, i get her the lemonade and she drinks it.After that she kissed me on the cheek and said that im a good guy and if i was a gypsy she would marry me.probably most romantic thing ever said to me since im an incel asshole

Sexual harassment and scandinavian women in nightclubs (i cant pinpoint their country because all scandi language sound swedish to me so lets just say they are scandi)

This was something that weirded the fuck out of all bouncers so it will be something i will say something about.

after another 6 months in bars, i got moved to clubs, now armed with lung cancer from all the second hand smoke i had to breathe at the entrance of bars while people smoked outside, an anti-social disorder with total disregard for human life and my thousand yard stare had extended so far i could see another galaxy.

So about scandi women they had a weird thing that they had absolutely no self preservation instinct, we were saving them so often it became a routine for us. An example would be they are dancing in a group of 4 people but at the same time they are being surrounded by people of certain ethnicity that have criminal vibe, they keep ignoring this and keep high fiving them. Im an experienced guy at this point, i know that forced touching of ass and tits and screaming will start soon but i cant do anything about it. Why?

because i cant prove that they were going to do that,secondly these women might like it so thats another thing to think about, when i was new in clubs i used to run in when they just had them surrounded and got called a racist asshole by the women .This was something all the new guys had to go through at some point. So basically we were stuck between letting girls get groped and suffer emotional trauma but they might have learned that there are bad things in this world during the process or save them from grouping and be considered an asshole while the girls leave learned nothing.

there were a lot of these kind of choices in bouncing and everyone chose differently, some guys handled situation above differently than i did. i quit bouncing because this was too much stress for a pay of a warehouse worker.

Many many years ago my GF at the time had arranged a get together with her friends that were moving away, I of course was required to attend. About a week before I tested the water by asking her “I’m not going to able to get away with not going am I?” The reply was a stern “no” followed by a lecture about how important this night was and how much it meant to her that I be there.

So the night arrives and I had arranged to meet her there (reducing the amount of time I needed to be there for). I also got off the bus two stops early to walk the rest of the way, perhaps subconsciously I hoped to be hit by a car or something so I didn’t have to go.

She met me outside and was so happy to see me. When we went to go in one of the bouncers aggressively asked for ID that I didn’t have. The other one got in my face a told me “then you ain’t fucking coming in then” obviously hoping I’d give them a excuse to batter me. I turned to my GF and said “I guess I’m not going in” obviously not trying hard enough to suppress my internal joy. She punched me in the chest and with tears starting to form screamed “you didn’t wanna come any way you bastard!”

The bouncers then parted like the Red Sea and said to me ‘it’s ok you can go in’.

What the hell, fast food places have bouncers? I have honestly never heard or seen that in my life.

I would help on occasion as a bouncer when I was younger, when one of my friends who ran a security service at events was short staffed. Nothing super exciting happened beyond breaking up fights between drunk people and trying to convince people not to drive home when wasted. Since it wasn't my actual job and I didn't want to get in any serious situations, I would take the "nice cop" approach - you can either really escalate or subdue a volatile situation by how you intervene. 9/10, people would calm down when they realized that I genuinely just wanted them to be safe, as opposed to playing a tough guy.

The hardest thing in my experience was breaking up fights between woman - both people would just be holding onto the other person's hair, and separating them was like a Chinese finger trap. The more you pulled them apart, the harder they tried to scalp the other person.

You live live in a big city?

In the UK its only really McDonald's that has bouncers but basically every big city McDonald's has bouncers because you end up with about 100 drunk people in there at 3am on weekends trying to get food so it's always a powder keg.

About the brainless scandi girls here the solution was far far easier

If people had kebab/snackbar vibe on them they were not allowed in.. they were told they "have to wait", for like 3-4 hours if needed lol

Same with albanians/romanians or even some italians (Boss did'nt wanted Naples groups in lol) if they looked cheap scrappy

But were kinda high high target pricy clubs

When i worked in cheaper ones with no selection you have to become more


But tbh these places have few and ugly girls, so there's less scandi girls thing

Good looking girls enter free in quality places here, they have no reason to go in shitty clubs

Yeah we used to do same thing, thing is arabs didnt really cause that much problems in the long run except the sexual kind but other nationality women usually had a some kind of survival instict so they didnt end up in problems that much.

It was just scandis that had air in their brains.

95 procent of the times i was fighting finns/estonians/russians

Also all clubs we have are shitty lol, nightlife is absolutely horrible here.

i saw a bouncer in a mcdonald's in downtown denver last month. in larger cities, you need security in the oddest of places. fucking crazy ass people can't behave themselves lol.

Me and two friends were extraordinarily drunk at a pretty civilised city rooftop bar once. I had sandals (thongs) on, which you can generally have on until 6pm or so. We were trying to hit on these air hostesses who were staying overnight in town. It was at a point in my life where i could quite easily full depth squat 180kgs for reps so i thought it'd be flirty to get two of these girls, throw them both on ym shoulder like they were a barbell, and squat them for reps. I guess 120kgs combined of squirming female.
Bouncer was a big maori fella. He came over laughing, told me if i didn't stop that and put my sandals back on he'd kick me out. Then he complimented me on my tight squat technique.
I didn't fuck any women that night.

Only got bounced twice, once when I was 18 or 19 and stupid as absolute fuck, this girl was checking me out (that much was not in dispute), I swung by to say hi and it turned out her boyfriend was there and also was a cop. Instead of doing the sensible thing and walking away, drunk me wanted a duel with the boyfriend for the girl. Luckily the bouncer saw what was brewing and escorted me out very politely letting me know just how bad of a shitstorm I was about to start. I was on a student visa back then, I could have easily gotten deported. Bouncer was true bro, nothing but good things to say about him.

The second time we didn't even get into the bar because I was weaving smashed and I know I was annoying the guy but he didn't get aggressive, he just told me multiple times to fuck off and get sorted out. Good people, bouncers.

Back in my early 20s the places we went had roids monster bouncers. We would get in bar brawls and get tossed out. I never fought back because they were twice my size and I knew I deserved to be thrown out. One night me and my brother and fighting a few guys out on a bar deck on the water. Bouncers break it up but my brother jabs one not knowing it wasn’t a guy he was fighting. Bouncer throws him in the water. 20 years later, the bouncer is my brothers sons football coach. Small world.

we were closing slowly, i was standing around covered in sweat,ketchup,mayo and ice cream since i had hit a guy with a mcflurry cane because he was hanging by the fucking doorframe not wanting to let go when we were wrestling him out. there were 3 minutes left in the shift we had locked the door already and people were leaving.Suddenly a guy shows up pounding the door, i open and ask what he does he want. He says he wants to buy a burger, i say theres 3 minutes left and we dont take new customers at this point. he says hes coming in no matter what, i tell him to leave and he answers by saying he will kill us unless we let him in, i say fine and close the door.

we close the place and i take a look in the window, this guy is pacing back and forth outside the restaurant waiting fo us to come out and shows me "throat cut" along with "come at me bro" gesture, i let out a deep sigh and grab the oc spray and head out. He comes at me immediatly, i spray him and kick him in to the nuggets because extra pain never hurt anybody and handcuff him while waitin for police pickup.

in the locker rooms i think why i do this job while removing the bullet proof vest

The McDonald's here in Scotland have bouncers too. They pat you down if you want to use the toilet to check you don't have syringes and then reluctantly unlock it for you and bang on the door if you're taking too long to drop a log.

Most bouncers I've come across have been scum. Just bald fat guys who think obesity is intimidating.

They take one day course on standing arm locks and think they can submit anyone lol.
