How do you guys feel about this? I love reading the YouTube comments between the Bleeding Heart Animal activists and the people who are like whatever, let em have em. Amusing shit. I personally wouldn't take the risk of something like a Lion or Cougar or Grizzly. I wouldn't mind having like one of them capuchin monkeys though. We could fling shit at each other.

This happens in every country I'm sure! If you have the money to purchase an exotic animal illegally, it's certainly possible.

I used to know a college lecturer who's father kept some exotic species of monkeys, he'd be unable to obtain legally.

It's The Dangerous Wild Animals Act 1976 which is the reason we have alien big cats loose in the uk.

I would never trust a Tiger, Cougar or a Grizzly bear etc. These animals live in the wild for a reason. You never know when that killer instinct will kick in.

Imagine if you accidently step on it's paw while it's sleeping or something. The tiger could snap and just decide to rip your arm off.

Shit just playing with you they could accidently fuck your world up

Adopted a street dog.

I sent a cheek swab of his to a dog breed DNA company to find out what he is.

They replied with "????"

He is exotic enough for us. And super loyal.

I'd totally get one of these if i could.

And Wood.

a friend of mine had an owl monkey that he adored until it hit puberty. Then it became such a temperamental maniac that he eventually stopped handling it altogether- thus making him worse. Got to the point that he only interacted with it for feeding. Imagine doing this to a misbehaving child and you can see what a problem this was.

When pet experts warn never to keep monkeys, they really do mean it. They will screech and howl for attention and then attack you when you give it. They will throw everything in their cage at you- including their shit and piss.

I think there are some exotic animals that can make decent pets for the prepared owner. Things like Patagonian cavies and capybaras come to mind. Both docile and friendly. And cheetahs apparently have excellent dispositions but they are exceedingly rare and expensive (and probably illegal). But they've been prized as pets for millennia. Very popular with Saudis for good reason. Any other big cat is a horrible idea, no matter how many cuddly tiger vids you've seen. They are all capable of snapping and maiming their owner.

My dream pet is the binturong.

Fuck that noise. Those big cats are amazing and beautiful to watch, but there is no way i could ever relax having one near me. I saw a show about this subject and a guy's family reported him missing. Police went to his apartment in NYC and they had to beat feet when they found a full grown tiger living in his place. Had to go in his neighbor's place to cut a piece out of the wall to shoot it with a tranquilizer. They kept trying to figure out how he got a tiger in his place in a fucking highrise. They figured he must have smuggled him in when he was really small.

Another family had a buffalo living in their small house. Thing was massive.

They should be put down.

Not the exotic animals, the people who keep them locked up, or parade them around to make themselves look interesting or "dangerous". How utterly useless do you have to be to swaggerjack an animal lmao.

There was a biker gang guy who kept an alligator in its own room in his house back in the day.
He was a collector/enforcer type for the gang. That’s the craziest shit I’ve ever seen first hand
I never went back to that place after. Not sure what happened to either the guy or the gator

My cousin had one. Not quite that big but a monkey still. They are fun for about 5 minutes then they are screeching, pooping, peeing, humping, etc......plus you have to change their diaper like ten times a day. She had to get rid of it and it was probably euthanized. Trust me you dont want a monkey.

They’re not exactly domesticated so...have them at your own risk. I’m still amazed that there are people who try to raise chimps though...

It’s not a good idea. They aren’t domesticated like dogs. The tiger only cares about his next meal and if it doesn’t get it regularly you could be on the menu.

Fine. I want a wolf then. Walk him down the street on a Rampage sized chain and a spiked collar. Just to hear peasants whine about keeping a "Wild Animal" as a pet.
