In his fight with Matt Hughes, the legendary Royce Gracie had his arm bent over for such a long time, and had the most bored poker face ever. And we all know the strength of a Hughes grip. ROYCE 40TH BIRTHDAY WAS LITTLE AFTER THAT.

Second off the top of my head now.. and I'm gonna get shit for this lol. Sage Northcut in his last fight where he had his arm also hyper extended for such a long time as well, and ended up winning too! AND HE'S ONLY 20... lol j/k.

anybody got more examples? I just made this thread quickly...

Should call this thread 'stupidest fighters who have little regard for the longevity of their career'.

You get caught, you tap. This isn't WWE. Only casuals think you are tough for damaging your body unnecessarily

A lot of people gave Sage shit and I wasn't his biggest fan, but he showed a lot of heart in his last fight. I for sure thought he was going to tap.

PVZ vs Rose.
Holly vs Miesha.

A lot of peoples don't give shit to Sage, give shit to UFC trying to give privileged path to Sage (and anybody else that smell like marketability)

Big Nog vs. Mir disagrees.

Tough or stupid?

There is no shame in tapping if you are trapped.
However, if you think you can escape before taking real damage, that's different.

A lot of the time, it looks worse to the audience than it really is for the fighter, and vice versa; so what looks like an early tap, or like incredible toughness, may not be the way it really is.

If you are in trouble and won't tap because of your ego, that is not toughness, that is stupidity.

Back in the Vale Tudo days, there was an old saying in Brazil that in order to submit a Japanese fighter you would have to apply a choke rather than a lock because they just wouldn't tap.

Ironically neither did BJJ legend Renzo Gracie when Japanese legend Sakuraba applied a reverse Kimura after getting his back taken.

Otsuka vs. kikuta rd 3 from PRIDE 20 always sticks out. Otsuka's arm was fully extended for about a minute.

And Yes, props to Sage. That was a redeeming moment in his career (possibly) and definitely a pivotal moment in the fight.

Hughes actually said he heard Royce's bones cracking and grinding and when he wouldn't tap he knew he had to GnP his way to a win.

Gracies don't tap.

All balls no brains, but you gotta prove you are a man on Sherdog. It's compensation if you ask me, but some people don't realize how transparent they look, if you are insecure about your manhood you tend to bark more, like little dogs.

Those people forgot that it's a company and that's how a company works.

If you sell a product and you notice the market likes it, or you think you have a special product or whatever, then you start to promote it to give it as much exposure as possible. It's not that difficult to understand.

McGregor vs Diaz, took at least 2 seconds to get him to tap once the choke was locked on.
