so many fighters change weight classes in hopes of finding success, but I cant think of many who changed classes and won a title.

Theres Randy and Nate Marquardt. but Nate's success was short lived

Lots of fighters change their weightclass. Rashad Evans, for example.

You could say Mighty Mouse, because he fought for the title at 135 before he won the title at 125.

Anderson Silva was a welterweight early in his career.

Also, Belfort was originally a heavyweight.

Ronda Rousey started out at 145 and then dropped to 135 and won the title from Tate

funny nobody mention Couture

Well Anderson

he beat sakurai and took 168 Shooto title and later moved up to 185 and Took Cage Rage title and eventually took UFC title. Interesting thing that he moved up.

Or they droped down to a new weight class that had a vacant title like Sean Sherk and DJ.

BJ Penn is the only guy I know of who jumped up from LW and won the WW without being a previous champ but he's a legend and later won the LW belt. Guys like Marquardt won paper championships.
