Alexis Davis is one of them. Who are the others?
Rashad Evans, Junior Cigano, Conor Mcgregor (brown belt).
Big Nog at least Sonnen says so
Brendan Schaubs brown belt
most fighters unfortunately... getting a proper black belt takes years.
Then Amanda Nunes is one as well.
Having a black belt in gi jits doesn't mean you're going to steamroll everyone in an MMA match with no gi.
Thread sucks. TS sucks. Shit thread. Shit poster. Shit everything
She hasn't been submitted in a very long time.
I always thought Machida seemed awful on the ground. It seemed like once you got him down in a fight it was over. He would just lock up his guard and do nothing.
A lot of Brazilians seem to have black belts but don't really show it.
U can't really judge someone's belt ranking strictly on their mma application. U won't see half their skills bc there is a whole other world of risks in mma vs straight up bjj. The belt ranking is based solely in bjj not mma. Roll with one of these people and then tell me they got their belt from a happy meal, they will break ur body in 300 pieces if they really wanted to, mine too lol. I mean come on these are pro fighters that's all they do train train train
Vitor Belfort's black belt was initially given to him by Carlson I believe...
Alexis davis is a very good competition grappler. Watch her vs kyra gracie.... man mma bjj is different that competition grappling.
People shit on Conor's BJJ, but SBG is a legit school. They aren't handing belts out there.
Why would Conor's belt be fake? Cause he was subbed by a high level black belt, who has submitted other black belts in MMA?
They are decent but never submit anyone.
Then watch her getting subbed by McMann.
Conor and Sage
