International Ex-Marine buys a used harrier jump jet for 180,000 from British Government

that's got to be one of the most expensive aircraft for a civilian to own and operate. Notoriously complex and only get more difficult to maintain as parts become scarce and NLA.

During some war games at Nellis AFB the Brits had some Harriers out there. I was watching them takeoff and one of them powered up and BANG a big cloud of black smoke and he had to taxi down the runway while his mates took off. I also have some pics of USMC Harriers dropping bombs on a range in Djibouti

Harriers are fucking awesome. During the Falklands War, the RAF and Fleet Air Arm pilots were informed that the Argentinian Air Force's jets were faster. One of the Pilots responded,

"Excellent. The quicker they get here, the sooner we can kill them"
