Bald? Bigger brain? Different body size? Will our artificial living conditions effect our evolution? Shelter, commerce, political and philosophical systems, unknown futures etc. How about our tools and tech? Computers, mobile devices, shoes, electricity (endless light), medicine, cybernetics, unknown futures etc.

Assuming we survive another million years through any possible scenarios and advancements, what will we look and be like? Can or will we ever control our own evolution? Should we? What is the next homo suffix?

    Something like this:

    Homo notitians

If I got my Latin suffixes right. Was always my weak point.

I don't think evolution will get to do much more with homo sapiens. If we don't destroy ourselves within the next 100 years, genetic engineering will probably become commonplace. We might also start integrating computer chips into our brains and become cyborgs, though probably not in a cool, cyberpunk way.

Honestly, I think we are on the verge of leaving the normal flow of natural selection. I think what we call evolution will drastically change in the next couple of centuries.

    - People aren't having that many kids anymore especially as income grows. Some people (way more than in our past history) are ok with living a life without any kids at all. Our society works inverse to normal evolutionary expectations: the more dominant you are the less kids you are likely to have.
    - People don't die as easily anymore and the threshold for reproducting is very low so it's hard to imagine how the traditional evolutionary logic (Survival of the fittest) is at work, if at all anymore
    - Technology is quickly blurring a lot of traditional lines that were previously very obvious in society: changing traits in your yet to be born kids (choose eye color, choose genetic predispositions etc), extending lifespan significantly, merging with technology?

I think the evolutionary future depends on which of the following gets the first significant breakthrough:
    - Genetic modification pre-birth and extending lifespan of future offspring
    - Life extentsion post-birth - finding some sort of solution to eternal life
    - Life merging with technology - merging conciousness with tech, uploading yourself

Some of these sound far fetched, but I think we will pretty much be stagnant until one of the 3 totally flips society upside down.

Taller, stronger, smarter, better looking. This will be done on a global scale in less than 200 years imo. Shit will settle for a few hundred years after that then we ascend where none of that matters..

Everyone seems so angry this past decade. I'll assume people will get high blood pressure and live shorter life.

6'5" 265 lb - benching sherdoggers will bang only 10's and naturally evolve into 7'4" posthuman Space Marines who can bench a metric ton.
Other substandard beings would be left behind in the glorious quest of conquering the galaxy.

Probably evolving towards the next large scale extinction. At some point people will spend so much time looking at their cell phones that they will forget to eat and die.

While I love mocking americans for being fat.. that is happening everywhere in the world these days.

I think it's the other way. Dumb people procreate a lot.

Depends completely on the surroundings that need adapting to, and how much the level of comfort allows for sexual selection over survival selection.

No it's dumb people that sit around and talk like b*tches about how much they don't want kids, who then pretend that their view on it is part of what makes them smart.

Well from evolution point all the ugly mofos like me will die off and only normal or good looking people will have families and kids since there are no big wars going on.

So humanity as a race will go to a better direction
