Moves/techniques/strategies commonplace in MMA COMPETITION that never used to be and where you think they came from. Obviously most if not all of these are not "new" techniques, I just want ones that have have been integrated into MMA that weren't in there before. My examples:
    Front kick
    [IMG]
    Short elbows from the feet:
    Body triangle:
    triangle/armbar
    [IMG]

Any others you got and where you think they came from?

Using the cage to get up was a game changer in my opinion.

Muay Thai techniques in general. Lot of fighters seems to have or better understanding of all the techniques from that sport (like the front kick and elbow).

This is a very good answer. It wasn't so long ago guys like Tito took you down and moved you up against the fence as it was a great way to corral an opponent for GNP, now getting up against the fence is a chance to wall walk up, thanks mostly to Chuck popularizing it.

you guys dont understand the concept.

on a number of levels, this idea is flawed.

Except for the front kick, I would say most of them have been around a while.

    Kenny Florian vs Roger Huerta.

Of course, Anderson popularized it. But Florian threw front kicks before it was cool.
