It'd be amazing if both Itabashi and Snake could make top 8 and we get the mirror.

Hopefully a Gief can win the whole thing, but I'm interested to see how far Gunfight can go with his Alex.

really looking forward to evo this year. Working the weekend, so I'll have to catch most of it through the archives, but I should be able to catch SFV grand finals after work on monday morning.

For whatever reason I'm not too excited. Feels sort of like SF5 was designed to be like texas hold 'em where guess work and luck is over-represented given the amount of damage canned combos can do and how much aggression is favored. I think it's kind of frustrating how big the benefit the corner trap is, and how the stun gauge not going down when blocking weak attacks. Yet bizarrely anti-airs are overpowered as all hell.

Not excited for the other games?

Just looking forward to injustice and tekken.

That'd be cool if the scarecrow player cr_whitrboi wins evo.

For tekken I guess I'll root for rip. I just hope an Akuma player doesn't win, that character should have never been put in the game imo

That's okay. You should give the other games a view this weekend

Dragonball Fighters Z will be playable so that should be worth checking out too. I'm just curious to see if an American can finally win Evo this year. Don't really care too much about the other games unless SonicFox loses.

Edit: Not that I want him to lose. He's clearly the best NRS player from the past 3-4 years, but IF he's going to win again, I'd like to at least see him struggle.

When's Third Strike?

I'm pretty hype for EVO. Even SFV. Looking forward to KoF, KI, Injustass, and some DBZ.

I don't see KI on there at all :( Say it isn't so.

Oh look. Another EVO with TWO versions of smash clogging up the shitter.
They have a saturday top 8 and the pools and semi's on friday :(
