Chris Weidman is one of the most overrated fighters in MMA history.
 
He was nearly KOd by a bloated WW
 
Guy beat Anderson 2x, Vitor, Machida, and has decent striking and great wrestling. He is also a decent guy. I don't get the hate.

I get it, you hate the guy....but he was the first to beat Silvia in gbe UFC, beat prime Machida and finished Vitor in the first while Vitor was still looking like a himself(and not someone's dad)

All these flames are after math for what he did to Andy, the salt is strong.
 
Weidman is criminally underrated. Sure, Anerson Silva, Machada and Belfort suck, but Chris is more than that. He is the entire package of class and skill. I have never seen anyone go through as much adversary as he has. He gave such an inspiring speech after his win and had his whole family present. I was nearly in tears with his dad, and anyone who has had children know what I am talking about. What a great man. This is the type of man that you would have respect for no matter if he made only $35 an hour and on unlivable wages or is the uncrowned champion like he is. But he just puts his head down and goes to work for his family, unlike the chumps fighting tonight who walk around proclaiming their greatness. It is time that we celebrate guys like Chris.
 
10 more seconds on the clock in round 1 and he would have been TKO'd by a blown up WW.
