Great fighters don't test twice for peds and once for coke. Sorry. Jones is a great fighter. But peds play a role in his performance. GSP said it best. If you test positive you are eliminated from GOAT talks. So Jones and Anderson are out. Unless you're one of those "everybody else cheats so" I mean shit I'm a Vitor fan and I can defend his positive test. And that was when TRT was legal! But he tested above the threshold!! It could be an accident sure. Much like Jones testing positive for Tbol could be accident. But still it doesn't take away the fact they both got caught breaking the rules. Period.

Are you sure maybe Anthrax under his nail would have been better? Wtf? Tbf he was just exploiting a glaring hole in UFC's rules. They dont take a point from anyone for anything, surely not Conor. He is a disgusting human being but his logic was sound. More fighters should realize they have about 3 to 5 warnings at worst. Look at what a fence grab did for Aldo. He KO'd Mendes seconds after. Conor was desperate but also calculated. Can you imagine Herb stopping the fight to take a point away? No more main events and his social media life would be over fanboys stalking him not worth it. Herb looks bored like he dgaf anymore anyway.

I've openly been pro peds and if all peds were legal, Jones would be the GOAT. I think a Jones on peds vs a DC on peds, I think Jones wins more so than DC. But a Jones on peds vs a clean DC. I think you're giving Conor too much credit in him calculating his cheating. He was losing and desperate. He wouldn't care if Herb took a point away for his fouls. He was losing badly. Take away as many points as you want. He needed a finish after that 2nd round.

It's like the NFL when the defense holds someone but the receiver still makes the catch. Penalty is declined. First down. The fouls Conor pulled didn't lead to Khabib losing position or getting damaged. So herb let them slide. Similar to an overruled penalty in NFL.
