Everyone in the women's BW division have terrible striking except for Holly Holm

None of these girls know how to stick and move. They just wing punches. Ronda is being praised for that sloppy win? What?? This division is the weakest division since the early UFC's. All it takes is one girl who can stick and move with good take down defense and thats a wrap. Ronda will get exposed soon.

 

Holm should be Rousey's next fight. There's no need for Tate III.

 

Technique doesn't mean shit if you're throwing punches with the power of a 5th grader. That's exactly what Holm does.

Holly Homes is overrated as hell, her debut was awful and I heard her last fight was awful too, lets see how the ufc are going to hype that fight next, after the Tate fight.

At least Rousey is KOing top opponents in the first round. Holm has never finished anyone in the first round including her stint fighting Denny's waitresses.

 

Power dont mean shit if you are winning on points. And thats how she will beat Ronda. By points. She has the cardio for it.

She hasnt fought a striker with takedown defense.

 

Honestly, there was so much talk about Holm's striking, and I have been really disappointed with it. She throws everything short and misses 90% of the time. She also seems to move in straight lines, and doesn't seem to really create angles. She might still be getting used to the UFC and the pressure, but she is definitely not coming off as some elite striker.....

 

No one is going to stay out of Rousey's clinch for five rounds and win on points. If they beat her they are going to have to finish her, or have some really good ground game in order to last on points.

Holm can probably avoid Rousey at the start better than most, but once Rousey gets her hands on her there is nothing Holm is going to be able to do about it. I'd like to see the fight but it's just a really bad matchup for Holm. Holm's biggest weakness is Rousey's biggest strength, and Rousey's biggest weakness isn't going to matter because Rousey will be able to dictate where the fight ends up.

 

Holm is an interesting matchup, if she can avoid being thrown to the ground this could really show us the best Ronda.

 

Holly throws feather pillows. Her only chance is to get world-class in wrestling and BJJ so she can use her strikes to set up the clinch and ground game. I don't see that happening.

 

Holm has horrible striking skills. No fluidity, no striking backwards. She rushes forward with a full combo of 3-4 strikes, doesn't stop until she finished the combo in a straight line. Screams all while doing so. Used to have hopes for her , but she's not that good .

 

Need to see her fight again but her UFC debut fight she looked pretty poor IMO

 

Everyone saying holms stand up sucks realizes she would tool ronda on the feet right? Let's just be clear on that.

 

People on this forum actually believed Bethe had a chance. Don't underestimate the UFC hype machine.

 

Holms would get killed by Rousey. She's looked like shit in the UFC thus far.

I never watched her outside UFC, but a quick glance at the opponents she faced then, and their less than stellar records, wouldn't lead me to believe that she's actually any better than her 2 UFC performances have shown.

I wouldn't be surprised if ronda ko'd Holm. Holm reminds me of a video game character throwing combos at random, as if she's being controlled by a button-mashing 8 year old.
