I mean its cute that he suddenly has fans and all but lets be real. He was KO’d last year by Thiago pretty easily. Who is riding a boring loss to Jone’s bored skeleton same as Dom.

    Its true.

Jones - Izzy is the obvious fight to make.

Yep, it's pretty obvious that's what will happen. Adesanya haters are already making threads about how winning a second belt doesn't put you in the goat conversation.

Jan is criminally underrated. I agree that Izzy likely wins. That said, what more can a guy do besides finish fights and claim his spoils of war?

How has not rightfully earned his opportunity?

Jan will be discredited as well, if he wins.

Who gives af what people say after the fight? Humans are basically chimpanzees with no hair. The stuff they think or say isnt that important.

No he won't. Israel is the favorite for a reason. He's way more skilled, faster, taller, and longer. If Jan can pull off a win, even I (a massive Adesanya fan) will give him credit.

    Well to be fair....
He wouldn’t have “beaten the guy who beat the guy” and no Reyes doesn’t count.
So essentially it’d be a paper belt.

But I like Jan’s chances more than people give him, I think he’s getting overlooked a bit here.

"He's skinny! He didn't have enough mass! Jan got lucky. All Jan can do is beat MWs and Jon's left overs. Thiago will still beat him. Thiago would beat Izzy as well. Jones would still destroy Blach. Izzy has no groundgame. First time he fights a guy with ground skills, he loses. First time he fights someone without having a reach & size advantage, he loses" etc, etc.

He was KOed by making a stupid mistake of charging in recklessly and needlessly.

But he certainly wasn't getting outclassed by Santos or anything.

Jan is a true champion and a big challenge for Adesanya. Fuck whoever tries to spin it later.

In that case DC was never champ at 205 either. Right now Jan is beating the best guys available to him in brutal fashion. It isn't his fault Jon doesn't want to fight him.

Jan has never been given his due. He not being looked at as a premier name to have on your record has everything to do with him repeatedly being underestimated. In general, this double champ business holds the most merit when a dominant force is unseated like Nunes/Cyborg and DC/Miocic.

Some Izzy fans have a weird victim complex.

Izzy is moving up to fight another 185er that also moved up and has been KOd by a guy that made 170.

? Isn’t everybody downplaying those fight now already considering Jan IS the weakest champ in a long time? Winning the belt against him doesn’t mean much, beating Gus/DC/Jones/Rumble would mean something though (maybe not Fus, they guy is a shell of his former self). If Adesanya rules the LHW division for years I will be extremely impressed but I don’t think he will beating Jan would be cool but not really impressive. I also predict that Adesanya will struggle beating Jan. Even though he is a weak champ, he is a decent LHW.

Imagine thinking Anderson "the can crusher" Silva was better than Adesanya

Prime Silva lost 4.5 rds to Chael Sonnen lmfao

If Adesanya wins then he's a two weight class champ. I know, I know, double champs seem like a dime a dozen these days. But no one will be able to take that from him, regardless of how they spin it.

If Jan wins, it would be huge for him. Adesanya is well proven at this point. He's a great fighter and would be a career defining win.

If Wilder KOs Fury, people here will still down play it.

Buta a win is a win... No matter how shitethe division or the opponent is.
