In reality the 48 year old woman and 48 year old man who find 15 year old's attractive are NOT sickos. They are however, sick if the kids are prepubescence.

I agree with you, but I think you should be careful when assessing everyone's motives here. Not everyone who points out the double standard wants it gone because they want to partake, some just don't like the hypocrisy. I think they're wrong in this instance, but still, doesn't mean they want to fiddle kids.

I agree with this to an extent. A lot of the double standards that benefit women weren't enshrined by feminists but rather by patriarchal ideas about women, usually the benevolent sexism that sees them as more worthy of protection and coddling than men/boys

Its the exact opposite of what you said. It is the men who were most "active" when they were young that are hardest on protecting their daughters. They know first hand what kind of scumbags are out there to use them.

I'm open to the double standard if its something that can be validated with evidence. I actually think to some extent it would be, though not to the extent many might think, but it has to be established by some sort of evidence. Science has always thrown seemingly counter-intuitive truths at us and perhaps it might in this case. If not, continue the double standard but until a difference between these crimes can be established empirically I think the default assumption should be equality.
