I thought this would be worth looking into, since this sale includes their (discontinued?) model, Everlast Professional Leather Training gloves; which I hear were among the good and popular training glove among the pro fighters back in the late 90's to early to mid 2000's:

I used to have a 16oz hook and loop pair that I used primarily for bagwork from 2009 to 2012, and they have held up well.
*EDIT*: I just noticed that the term "Professional" is no longer included in the name of the product. I don't know what this means, but I guess we can't be too sure if these are still the same exact gloves as they were back then, besides logo changes.
I must add that I ordered a pair back in December 2015 (from the Everlast site), and the only differences I noticed when compared to my 2009 pair, is that the thumb is a little more spread out; but that did not make a difference in comfort.
