I was hearing a story about this the other day and just found it interesting and wanted to see if any of you guys have ever done this?

I bet lots have but won't admit it.

My coworker that told me the story ended up saying it's kind of a dirt bag thing to do but also said she did before too.:icon_lol:

twice.

Once when I was 16.
Once when I was 30.

I once took a vacation and never came back to work, but they didn't call me back either, so it was somewhat mutual.

It all depends. If you work for a company that treats you well and relies on you then, yeah it's a dirtbagmove.

If you work for a company that uses you like a battery then it's fair play.

And if your 16 and you just don't show up to a park job then it's being 16.

Yeah. I was working as cleanup on a construction site one summer in college. Just said "fuck it" about halfway through a workday, got in my car and left.

What if they use you like a rechargeable battery and make sure to carefully plug you into the wall each night?

I was working for this banner making company when I was 19 and it was just a shitty job. One day I went on my lunch break and just never came back. Got an email like 2 days later saying I was fired. Oh well.

I got a really shitty factory job when i was 18, i showed up the morning of about 15 minutes early without my ID tag to get in because it was my first day. At first they wouldn't let me in because they "weren't expecting anyone new". Finally the main manager of the plant was called and cleared it up. So it got off to a bad start and only got worse, it wasn't tolerable for me so i signed my little sheet at lunch because i wasn't in the system yet and left at lunch. That was a nice drive home.

I worked at a job on the road going to various places, worked like 20 days straight, 10 hours days making $16 per hour. I had some friends vacationing in a town we were in and told my coworkers to drop me off and I never worked another day. I never said I quit and they didnt fire me. We just went our separate ways and I picked up my last cheque from the front desk and that was that.

Twice.

First time I was 18 and a pizza delivery driver and never came back after a delivery. I only had the job for one week and I hated it. Never got paid anything except tips so I left the job with what was in my pocket.

Second time I was 19 and worked at a super market and left to Europe for six months with the intent of coming back. When I got home from backpacking six months later I never went back to that job.

Yeah some lame restaurant job when I was in college. Felt a little bad until a few months later I heard all the employees showed up for work one day only to find the doors locked and the place vacant. The owners had went bankrupt and not bothered to tell anyone lol

What kind of a plug are we talking here?

Are you a valuable little battery?

If so...

Yes I have. Felt kinda bad after word . Boss ended up calling my dad he was concerned something happened to me

Not myself, but I have worked with a couple people who have done that and some have gone on to find better jobs.

I have twice. Once when I was working in a warehouse and once on my first day at a new company that I found to do shady work. The warehouse thing was fucked up because on one hand they had helped me in the past but eventually I became warehouse manager and as the warehouse manager gota new job. I had been full time in the warehouse helping him and was told i'd get a raise and someone to help me as Id helped him. The boss man did someone a favor and hired someone to help me but he was never there until 3pm and all our work was done 6 am to noon so I had no help. fast forward a few months with still no raise even though i had brought it up and mentioned the lack of help I was receiving I was on tilt. One day my boss just got too snide with me over nothing and I never came back from lunch. I feel bad but I worked my ass off and because I was quiet they had began to think they could walk all over me. I tried to to stop that verbally but it continued and I just gave up.
