Ever have an eBay package not arrive?

Hey guys,

A few months ago I joined a local boxing gym, I've been going often and decided to put some money aside to buy myself a nice pair of boxing shoes. After being told by everyone that nobody nearby sold boxing shoes (I looked into it, found nothing) I decided to order some off eBay. The seller had plenty of good ratings and was located in the UK, I dropped $188 CAN.

It was estimated to arrive between Oct.15-21, as of today it still hasn't arrived, nothing in the mail about it, and no tracking number. Any advice on what to do about that? I've never really bought anything online before.
 
Doesnt Ebay guarantee delivery?

Contact the seller and if he doesnt respond contact Ebay
 
I've been lucky and gotten everything I ordered and they sometimes underestimate delivery times. I suspect the estimated arrival time could be skewed by the transatlantic crossing and possibly customs. I don't know what mail service is like in Canada but it can vary widely in the US. Try contacting E-Bay or the seller.
 
Depends when you ordered and when they sent them. Can take up to 3 weeks to Canada depending where you live. I send things overseas and Canada is slowest to get to regurarly.

Contact the seller first.
 
My wife orders crap on that website all the time, some times packages take longers than others ... concerning longer ... but so far she got everything she ordered.
 
Overseas shipping can be slow.

OTOH, you have a limited time to file for not receiving an item. Research it.

You may have to file a claim before the window runs out, then cancel it if the item arrives.

Regardless, you should contact the seller and see what he says.
 
Canadian customs are a PITA from what I understand.
I know of a couple of businesses along the border that make a couple grand a month just by accepting packages for Canadians. Then they drive down and pick them up. They charge $3-$5 a package. Most of the Canadians I've talked to say it saves about 10 days in shipping.
I have savings accounts in Canada and it's about 200 miles to drive to the bank but anything they send to me in the mail takes about 15-18 days.
 
Waiting right now for an Amazon parcel that was supposed to be delivered today by DHL. Useless bastards haven't turned up yet, and I doubt I'll see it today. I sincerely hope that DHL is the next company to go under. People as incompetent as this don't deserve to have jobs.:mad::mad:
 
Yea I ordered a shirt onetime and after about 2 weeks I checked to see that it never shipped.

I had ordered a ton of stuff from different ebayer's so I wasn't paying attention to just that one shirt. I emailed the guy and he apologized, said he was out of stock and refunded my money.

Any high ranked seller isn't gonna dick you over. It's usually just some sort of error on their part.

Contact the seller, if you still want the item ask them to ship it, if not ask for the refund. They should take care of it.

I ordered some coffee stuff from japan that never showed up, contacted the seller and they sorted it out by sending a new item that got here in three weeks.

The sellers with lots of good ratings will generally work with you, since they tend to not be scumbags, and they're protective of their ranking and will do what they can to prevent negative feedback.

If the seller isn't helpful get in contact with paypal and dispute the charge.

DHL is easily the company I've had the most issues with.
Delivering shit to the wrong delivery point, not letting me know the parcel is at the pick-up point, taking forever to deliver shit, not updating their tracking info correctly, and in one instance placing a pretty pricey item that was sent recommended on my stoop. Luckily my next door neighbour was home and brought it inside before it got stolen.

Fuck DHL, I will chose another option every time I can.

Those are estimated arrival times...it's coming from the UK, so, I'm guessing there may be some Customs clearance process to go through arriving in Canada.

If they don't arrive, buy some wrestling shoes...same thing, probably more comfortable.

Please post a video of your 3s and 5s so we can clown you!
 
Back in the day I bought Final Fantasy X and it didn't show. I complained to ebay and eventually got refunded. Then like 2 years later it showed up out of the blue. I'd gone 100% PC Master Race and had sold my Playstation so I couldn't even play that shit
 
Ebay has polices. Basically the buyer has all the power. If it doesnt show up, file for a refund. Buyer doesnt like item? Ebay will force the refund even if you stated in your listing: no refunds.
If the seller cant prove it was delivered, ebay sucks the money back and you get a refund. That bullshit happend to me. USPS lost package, guy demanded refund. So i got no pay and no item.
 
I remember ordering a portable phone charger, it said it would arrive in 3 weeks but after a month it still hadn't arrived. So I contact the seller, they ship a replacement on the same day and the next fucking day the original charger arrived -_-

I contacted the seller again but they told me not to worry and to just keep the second one.
