Social Ever encountered someone irl that acts like a character from tv/movies?

One of my elementary school buddies back in the day got bitten by the tiniest spider ever. allegedly.

After he watched spider man 2 in the cinema, the movie changed his life, a switch flipped in his head and he started believing with all his heart that he is actually spiderman.

8 year old me was questioning my neighbour kids sanity at that point and it almost ended our friendship.

Dude was LARPing for years, 24/7 until he discovered internet porn.

did he start to shot his "web" every where?

Yes. He was making the hand gesture and a sound effect with his mouth. It was ridiculous.

Kid: I think I'm Spiderman!

Zinger: Let's not be friends anymore.

Lol didn't we all tried to pretend as a super hero when we were kids? I get your point though when someone take it too far.

In high school we had a guy who was a bit like the Rock, very vocal and kept referring to himself in the third person. Chicks digged him though.

To be fair, that spiderman obsession helped him get in shape.

Guy was allegedly training in "ancient martial arts", running laps, doing pullups, pushups, crunches, climbing trees, shadowboxing, just to be ready in case he had to "fight criminals".

Eventually the dude was the most ripped elementary school kid I had ever seen.

But that cost him. In 3rd grade he got held back a year.

Around age 17-20 I was frequently told that I reminded people of Lance from Sex Drive... Not particularly proud of it, but at least they always included that I was a skinny version of him.

I met many single moms that lived vicarious like the starlets in the adult movie genre.
