WHen you factor in when the UFC does low PPV buys like 100K buys for Nunes fight, they aren't paying out big bucks to the main eventers

Add in the live gate, sponsorship money etc, they are still making good money at that low PPV buys

UFC 208 Holm vs. Randamie 200,000
UFC 209 Woodley vs. Thompson II 300,000
UFC 210 Cormier vs. Johnson II 300,000
UFC 211 Miocic vs. JDS II 300,000
UFC 212 Aldo vs. Holloway 167,000
UFC 213 Romero vs. Whittaker 150,000
UFC 214 Jones vs. Cormier II 850,000
UFC 215 Nunes vs. Shevchenko II 100,000
UFC 216 Ferguson vs. Lee 120,000
UFC 217 GSP vs. Bisping 875,000
UFC 218 Holloway vs. Aldo II 230,000
UFC 219 Cyborg vs. Holm 360,000
UFC 220 Miocic vs. Ngannou 360,000
UFC 221 Rockhold vs. Romero 130,000

Those shows must be making the UFC a worth while profit or they wouldn't be happening. It's probably a simple thing like at 50,000 PPVs sold they're breaking even, anything after that they're up.

UFC is so dead it´s alive

Yeah 100k is the threshold. Other MMA orgs have rarely crossed that threshold, and none of them have been able to do it consistently.

Dana says they are in great shape best year ever with those 100K cards. Must be getting a lot from advertising and networks. Who knows really. I bet rebook agreement alone pays for all fighters salary with how low that is.

Yeah, but paying 4.2 billion dollars for a product that pulls 100k buys is up there with the worst investments of all time....

Hard not to profit when 75% of the fighters on your cards are unknowns making 8k to show.

Each Nba team:41 live gates. ufc approx 41 live gates total.

Ngannou looking like a draw. Look at max-jose 1 and 2.

I think more and more people are finding illegal streaming and realizing they can save money on shit cards

Still, it's almost like they want Bellator to take over.

About 75% is watered down cards, they're paying fighters peanuts, with a very small chance of sponsor money because of the retarded Reebok deal.

Greed may work for them now, but for how long?

I'm surprised UFC 220 couldn't do more than that considering how much hype they put into NGannou.

Also, i'm happy UFC 221 flopped so bad. That will teach them to make better cards.

It saddens my that Gay Jesus has 2 of the 3 worst. Fans don't know what they are missing.

Cool, when do I get my check for my share of the profits?

UFC 215

100,000 buys = $5,000,000 PPV Revenue - 50% (cable provider) = $2,500,000 UFC Gross PPV Revenue + $2,000,000 Gate = $4,500,000

$4,500,000 + Sponsors + International TV Deals - Fighter Pay - Promotional Costs =

Dana, being the greedy bitch he is, put all his stock in a couple of shits and told the rest to fuck off. It’s catching up with him.

id bet that they break even point is fairly low(a lot lower than we think at least).

fact is that the ufc had us conditioned into thinking that 250k was a pathetic buy rate, and that's how they justified paying a lot of their fighters so little.

you dont go from 45m in debt to selling for 4B by breaking even every year. profits were insane year after year.

If that was all they had, yes. But they also have TV deals, merchandise and branding deals, etc. Plus their typical PPV is MUCH higher. And there's potential for more international expansion and whatnot. Viacom has managed to make money off of Bellator on a consistent basis, and Bellator ain't shit compared to the UFC brand. There's a reason why several major companies got into a bidding war over the UFC.
