Hey guys...this is probably a dumb question: the few times a year I buy the PPV, I have trouble casting it to my tv. I have Chromecast and have no problem casting other stuff except this fuckin ESPN+ PPV.

When I buy it on my phone, there isn't that icon to click to cast it. When I'm on my computer and go to my ESPN+ account, and click on the PPV it says I need to buy it, even though I already did.

Anyone else have this trouble? It was so much easier when I used to buy them through my cable company. Also, fuck ESPN+ and their $10/month charge + $80 PPVs.

I’ve had a lot of technical problems with them over the years. Last time I had to switch to PC to watch the PPV.

Ive never understood why people make technology so difficult. Why would you buy something on your phone to watch on your TV? Then try to cast it? I am probably one of the few that has a full PC connected to their living room TV but still, any roku, apple tv etc has ESPN+.

Some people in this thread may also not know that the ESPN app is the ESPN+ app and has a separate tab for ESPN+ content. Maybe that will be more helpful that criticizing.

When I tried to use a diff device to watch ESPN+ live event, it made me jump thru hoops to validate that device is mine and maybe using the same internet IP address. Try to look for something like "restore purchase" and press that and expect to be able to receive an emailed code to input into the new device.

Amazon Prime and Freevee also make you input an emailed code now and then.

I don't remember being able to use iPod Touch to pass the HDMI to the HDTV. I think the moment you connect the cable, it cancels the video. I don't think they allow it. Disney+ allowed it when I watched Mandalorian on the HDTV from iPod.

I watch ESPN+ via Apple TV set top box. I think you can buy the prior version for around $100. I like it.

For real ESPN+ is awesome. They even setup the fights so you can start from the beginning of the event without spoilers.

One of my favorite features. My only minor complaint is fast forwarding is kind of guess work as it doesn’t actually show what you’re fast forwarding just the time that’s elapsing.

I'm not familiar with how Chromecast works, I have Roku. What I will say is that if I buy it via the espn app on the Roku/TV it will work on every other device that I have the espn app (my phone, iPad, etc.). But if I buy it on my phone it won't work on the TV.
