Is tomorrows event ushering a new era of MMA into the mainstream? Are we going to see an abundance of new fans because of the UFC deal with ESPN (ala new fans from deal with TUF/Spike)?

On a side note: Any non tuf-noobs out there?

We should, yes. I look forward to the wave of new fans thanks to ESPN, we just have to make sure not to scare them away when they make accounts here. Some posters around these parts can be a little...hostile...towards new fans.

Isn't that crazy? TUF noobs have been around for upwards of 14 years now.

No way. It’s espn plus. If it were regular espn I’d say maybe.

...four fights will air on ESPN tomorrow.

They should be known as ESPNoobs.

Did we get to a point yet where we're actually OK with TUF noobs?
As far as I can tell, the fans of that era are pretty respectable in comparison to their contemporaries.

Fortunately, the potential fresh meat will be spared the insanity of the Conor/Khabib mess. That was the most difficult part of being new to the forum. The way some people compete to be the least intelligent and mature is absolutely astonishing.

Well, good news is I've gone ahead and studied up on ESPN's tutorial. They did something similar for Cricket around 2014 and that got me into that. Hopeful that if I put the work in I can be come a hardcore fan.

    No.

    People are cutting the cord.

Young people don't watch cable TV.

    ESPN is a dinosaur.

Just stream or sell fight cards via an app.
