Unfortunately, the forum is covered in threads insulting Silva this morning.

I'd like to say thanks to him for being part of a great fight, and showing incredible toughness to stick it out until he really couldn't get up any more.

Many of Brown's opponents fall when he starts his barrage, but Erick took everything but the kitchen sink. To me he showed heart and resilience but it just wasn't to be.

A great thanks to Erick for being spectacularly KTFO'd by DHK and being beaten down by Brown. It was really entertaining and I thank Silva for the contribution and the 206 Vcash I won by betting on Brown!

It was a great fight and Silva almost won it early in R1. He took a beating and kept going until the end. Maybe the best UFC fight ever. Constant action and the transitions when they were on the ground were very impressive.

I'm a big fan of his win\lose, wish him a quick recovery and can't wait to see him come back with a vengeance.
Too bad his fight IQ isn't on par with his warrior spirit.

He did threaten Brown in the beginning, but his defence looked amateurish.

The way he dropped his hands, his sidestance could have been taken advantage of. He didn't use the sidestance to create distance, which is probably it's greatest strength, his back could have been taken, and he didn't have a solid base with his feet....

I lost a lot of faith in Silva. Silva is good for low level opponents, where his offence can dominate the fight.

That beating could make him go one of two ways. Either he's shaken up beyond belief and never the same or he comes back psychotic and fearless knowing he could never be more hurt than that...

This thread should have A LOT more replies, but unfortunately Sherdog is a place where people like to gloat and rejoice in another's failure.

I wish he would have shown some brains as well. But thats not as easy as we think perhaps when someone like Brown is after your head. The cornermen tried their best to wake Silva up but he seemed mentally fragile.

I was impressed with how Silva hung in there also, i hope his team rallies around him and gives him the appropriate confidence moving forward.
He took a fucking beating and a lot of beating, and considering the DHK knockout he needs to take a lot away from the heart he displayed in this fight.
