Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reproached U.S. President Barack Obama and other senior officials for not speaking out publically against the killings of three young Muslims in North Carolina this week.

Speaking alongside Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto during a state visit to Latin America's second-largest economy on Thursday, Erdogan said the silence of Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry was "telling" and they should take a position following such acts.

"If you stay silent when faced with an incident like this, and don't make a statement, the world will stay silent towards you," Erdogan said, condemning those responsible for the crime.

"I ask Mr. Obama: where are you Mr. President?" Erdogan added.

Tens of thousands of people are murdered each year in the US, yet this guy thinks because the victims were Muslims , the President needs to say something. The reason Obama commented on the Trayvon Martin shooting was because a reporter asked him for comment.

We don't know yet whether anti Muslim bias played any role in the shooting. Even if it did, this is an aberration, because such murders are extremely rare in the US. Muslims are safer here in the US than in many Muslims countries. Meanwhile there has always been systemic police brutality against African Americans.

Erdogan , the guy who was supporting the raping, enslaving, butchering, beheading, genociding , child killing , church and mosque destroying ISIS is indignant .

He has to be trolling. How many statements has he made after incidents caused by Muslims? I haven't really followed this case, but were those people even killed because of their religion?

Not accepting Turkey into the EU doesn't make them Islamophobic. It means that Turkey does not follow the EUs guidelines. Maybe they should actually start caring about small things, such as human rights.
