Gentlemen, it's time we dissected last night's bout at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. I dont know about you but it left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.

I hate to see such talented warriors get their event that theyve waited 4 years for, to get tainted by incompetent judging. Could someone illuminate me on this matter?
Are body shots really that valuable in comparison to constant aggression and fluid combinations? Dont get me wrong, i saw a really close fight but i think it could have gone either way. Just not a unanimous decision like that. Not good for boxing, not good for the fans, and most of all, not good for themselves when they look at the mirror and dont know if they deserved to win or lose.

For those of you who missed the fight and want to get some snippets of it, feel free to watch my video below. Take care and all the best.

Sincerely
Joyous Nomad.

The judging was fine. One judge had a score a little too wide.

Very few times if any that "very close fight" & robbery ever go together. Especially with no knockdowns.
The whole concept of 'because something is close that the rounds or final decisions should be split is not reality when rounds are judged by themselves ...ALONE. Meaning there is no carry over or relation.

Only judging gripe that's legit is the 1 judge giving round 10 to Haney. That's nuts. Also, if its the same judge that gave Garcia 10-10 vs Tank after Garcia was knocked down then I can understand that call-out.
Even though I'm not on-board with crying corruption in this case. They literally are bringing it on themselves by giving that dummy assignments then defending him after horrible unacceptable misses.

Loma's team also tried to protest that judge being assigned prior to the fight too.
Kind of interesting.

Never a good idea to badmouth the guys who are going to officiate your fight. Ask Malignaggi and Hagler.

I didn't think the judging was that bad, I've seen a lot worse. Great fight, very close, either guy could have won.

When the scorecard was read, I thought Loma for sure with that 116-112.

Wasn't a robbery.

The real gems are the halfwit mma fans who always show up to say that these "corrupt" decisions are why they don't watch boxing dispite the fact that the UFC uses the same judges.

Do we really need to repeat here the same discussions that have already been conducted and said in the other threads?
