A woman who falsely claimed she had been raped and trafficked by an Asian grooming gang has been found guilty of perverting the course of justice.

Eleanor Williams, 22, of Barrow-in-Furness, was found guilty of eight counts at Preston Crown Court.

She posted photos on social media in May 2020 of injuries she said were from being beaten but the jury heard she inflicted the wounds on herself.

One man told the court the false accusations had "ruined" his life.

Her Facebook post was shared more than 100,000 times and sparked demonstrations in her home town, however, the court heard this was a "finale" to her story and she had injured herself with a claw hammer.

She pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to one count of perverting the course of justice, which related to contacting her sister and mother with requests for them to take a hammer to her solicitor.

Incredible story, at the height of the hysteria surrounding the (real) issue of Asian grooming gangs, this woman invents claims, injuring herself on purpose, as well as faking texts and messages from supposed 'criminals'.

Naturally, this lie is concocted on social media, where rampant outrage porn addicts 'chase the dragon' like real life heroine addicts, getting their fix by absorbing this vile, racially motivated 'story' without any proof.

Now it's been proven as an outright lie, or a pack of lies to be more accurate.

Moral of the story: WAIT FOR THE FACTS! (and yes, that cuts both ways, applying to multiple stories)

I wonder if there will be any convictions for hate speech on social media?

Here's how her story unravelled:

1. Williams fabricated evidence to suggest she had been drugged and raped. The police thoroughly investigated her claims and arrested a man in connection with her allegations but found no evidence to support Williams’ claims and established the Snapchat account information, she had given them, didn’t exist.

2. She claimed a second man had raped and assaulted her on three separate occasions. She produced messages purporting to be from the man confessing to what he had done. The investigation uncovered the fact that she had created a false Snapchat account and sent messages to herself using her home Wi-Fi.

3. Williams also told police that she had been in a sexual relationship with a different man since she was 12 or 13. She claimed that this man and others had trafficked her to various places both inside and outside of the UK and exploited her. Again, that was found to be untrue. She used a man’s Snapchat account, who she had shared intimate messages with and amended the contact information so it would appear the explicit images came from the man she had accused.

4. In July 2019 she provided another horrific account of sexual exploitation. She told officers she was forced to the Blackpool area, subjected to violence, threats to kill and she was forced to have sex with eight men. The investigation found she had booked herself into a hotel in Blackpool a couple of days before she travelled. CCTV then confirmed that she stayed in her hotel, apart from a brief walk to a nearby shop. The whole account was a complete fabrication.

5. Williams gave the police a list of other trafficked women. This too was a lie. None of the women spoken to by police had been involved in any kind of exploitation and some didn’t even know Williams.

6. She told officers she had been trafficked to Ibiza and made to have sex with men every night, the same had happened to her in Amsterdam. She later retracted her claims about Ibiza when told passenger lists could be checked. Her claims about Amsterdam were also found to be false. She travelled to Amsterdam with her sister and her sister’s boyfriend, and they had been together at all times. Even when challenged with this information, she still insisted her version was accurate.

7. On 18 July 2019 another man had the misfortune of meeting Eleanor Williams. The pair chatted and had some brief sexual contact. When Williams told the police about this male, she claimed he was one of the traffickers and that he had raped her, then sold her to two other males, who she was forced to have sex with.

8. In May 2020 she was located by the police after concerns for her safety were reported. When she was found, she had numerous injuries and told the police she had been to an address in Barrow with a number of males. She said she had been attacked with a knife and raped by three men. Following an investigation, again this was found to be false. A hammer was recovered from the field near to where she was located, the hammer had her DNA on it and was in fact the hammer she had purchased a week before. Having considered her injuries, a pathologist confirmed they had not been caused by a knife but were consistent with being self-inflicted with a hammer.

Unbelievable.

Crazy woman. Needs a good punishment along with some mental help imo.

Asian grooming gangs? You English include Indians with Asians. It baffles me. When it's " Asian " which Asians are they talking about?

Generally over here 'Asians' means those from Pakistan/Bangladesh, but I suppose it can include Indians.

To be honest, ignorant people wouldn't even know there was a difference as they just see brown skin (not kidding).

But yeah, the term 'Asians' does not generally refer to all Asians; certainly not Chinese or Japanese people, for the most part, though that could differ depending where you are in the country and whether you're from an ethnically diverse area or not. I am.

And yeah. She is bat shit insane, and it's sad there was such an enthusiastic audience for her lies and hatred.

Believe all woman you sexist bigot

I probably would have believed her story initially, to be honest.

You can't really suspect someone of fabricating all this, going to such lengths, and even smashing their eye in with a hammer.

I know you're being flippant, but on face value, the lies just kinda seem impossible.

That's why it's such an interesting story.

I get it , I made a cynical post but I can’t believe someone would go rape someone either. That’s a different kind of evil

I wish I couldn't believe it, but there are some nasty, cruel, horrible people in this world...

But yeah, on the face of it, both situations are incredibly hard to believe - grooming gangs are just such disgusting scum they just don't seem human.

Her punishment should be equivalent to whatever the punishment would be for worst crime she falsely accused someone of .
Bingo! Fuck this bitch. There's enough fuckery involved with bringing rapists to justice and triple so when it comes to a protected class of rapists as is the case in the UK. She should be on a sex offender list and do time. No ifs and or buts.

@Siver! do you make threads about grooming gang members who are found guilty of their crimes, or just these types of stories...?

I haven't been on here that long... I generally start threads about weird shit in Europe/UK, so yes, I more than likely will at some point.

Why do you ask?

So that's a no then. Just as I thought.

Good point, how is what she did not a heinous sex offence , not only can it ruin the lives of the falsely accused, she is doing a massive disservice to women who are actually sexually assaulted.

Jesus christ she took this to the next level...

To keep men safe she should be locked away forever.

What a piece of shit she is. I can only wish that people who falsely accuse others of a crime would get the exact same punishment that crime carries.

The only thing I want to add to this subject matter is fuck Britain and its continued derogatory use of the term "Asian grooming gangs" instead of directly identifying the specific group accused of or responsible for the crime. You know you're not gonna see any Patel's, Lee's, Nguyen's, Park's, or Nakamura's in any actual "Asian grooming gangs".

In comparison, this is like calling supposed members of the Italian mafias "Europeans", or the Mexican drug cartels "North Americans".

Hindus and Sikhs protest against use of the term 'Asian' to describe grooming perpetrators
By Rupanjana Dutta | Tuesday 20th March 2018
The Hindus, Sikhs as well as diasporic Christian communities are protesting against the use of the blanket term 'Asian' to describe the perpetrators in horrific sex grooming crimes, especially in Telford. The incident saw many young girls exploited and some even killed. The diaspora has objected to the use of the 'Asian' description, especially after publication of a story in Mirror on 11 March 2018 under the headline “Britain's worst ever child grooming scandal exposed: Hundreds of young girls raped, beaten, sold for sex and some even killed.” Asian is a very broad term and includes many nationalities, most who have had no connection with the grooming cases reported.

National Council of Hindu Temples in UK (NCHTUK) in a statement objected to the Mirror's depiction and wrote, that the description defames all Indians, Chinese, Vietnamese etc and contributes towards the increasing incidence of hate crimes against the entirely innocent ethnicities and communities.

In a statement they told AV, “This sustained and consistent trend for the media to use the word 'Asian' whenever there is a 'grooming gang' incident is recognisable as an act of harassment against British Asians. It is a deliberate attempt to associate 'grooming gangs' with 'All Asians' in the minds of the non-Asian British public and in terms of the scale of this act of harassment, it is being inflicted upon and harms all British Asians, numbering in the millions of British citizens.”

“We wholeheartedly support the complaint to IPSO made by the NSO (Network of Sikh Organisations) on the inappropriate use of the word 'Asian' in the Mirror's story. This is something we have been seeing in the British press for some time and have found it utterly objectionable. Hindu girls, like Sikh and white girls, have also suffered at the hands of sexual grooming gangs for decades and if there is an identifiable commonality or ideology connecting these “grooming gangs”, the free press must not abdicate its responsibility to fully report facts including the complete identity of those perpetrating these crimes.”
They added, “The print media has a responsibility to be clear in language, and 'Asian' only serves to smear wholly innocent communities, whilst shielding those responsible. We sincerely hope that IPSO will accept our objections and uphold our, and the NSO's complaint and in so doing protect the wider wholly innocent British Asian communities from further defamation. This will set a much needed precedent.”

The Network of Sikh organisations is also of the same opinion. In a statement they said: “The term ‘Asian’ continues to be regrettably used as a euphemism, when it comes to the identity of those convicted in the majority of Britain’s sexual grooming cases. The report in the Mirror last Sunday focusing in on Telford, rightly describes this horrifying issue as an ‘epidemic’. Whilst we are indebted to the investigative journalists behind this important report, the continuing smearing of ‘Asians’ per se is appalling, as the term encompasses swathes of communities from across the Indian subcontinent. This cowardly non-specific description of the perpetrators continues to be used in the British press, to describe men of predominantly Pakistani Muslim heritage convicted in grooming gang cases. We believe this is in part due to the fear of offending Muslims.

“The media’s reluctance to describe perpetrators of these despicable crimes with clear and honest language, has elicited angry responses from Sikhs and Hindus, who’ve contacted us to express their outrage following the Mirror’s article. It has upset Pakistani Christians too. To put it frankly, the word ‘Asian’ gives the false impression gangs of Indian, Thai, Japanese or Korean men are rampaging across Britain sexually abusing underage white girls on an industrial scale. Is that fair? We suggest that this vague terminology isn’t only an insult, smearing innocent communities, but also serves to mask the fact that girls from Hindu and Sikh communities have historically fallen foul of grooming gangs themselves. The common denominator in such cases is the deliberate targeting of non-Muslim girls, which we believe should be categorized by the police as a hate crime.

“Although we applaud the bravery of Nick Sommerlad and Geraldine McKelvie for their excellent journalism in the Mirror’s report, the NSO has reluctantly chosen to file a complaint to the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO), because of the liberal use of the word ‘Asian’ in the article to describe the identity of the offenders. Given the importance of their work, we did not take this decision lightly. However, we believe use of the word ‘Asian’ to describe sexual grooming by men of predominantly Pakistani Muslim heritage, whilst being both irresponsible and inaccurate, masks the real identity of those perpetrating these heinous crimes.”
