All other sports have post season awards for MVP, coach, etc. Do you think the UFC should have awards like these? I know there is the world MMA awards but do you feel the UFC should have their own? I propose the following: MVP: the fighter that had the most dominate fights that year Camp/trainer of the year: Trainer that has done the best job KO of the year Sub of the year Comeback fighter of the year: fighter that rallied back from bad performances I think this could be a good promotional tool
Fighter of the year - Ronda Ko of the year - Ronda Trainer of the year - Edmond MVP of the year - Ronda
There is like a world mma awards now I think. The problem with any of these awards is that they heavily skew towards the big name fighters. It makes sense for stuff like best fighter, but a lot of the time best sub or KO goes to someone with a name even if it isn't as good as a regional one. I guess if you take the caliber of opponent into it then I get it, but meh, I don't.
