Still couple days left in fact to determine the final score, but if you had to decide now, how would you rate this year for yourself? Good, neutral, bad? Forecast for the future?

This year was above average for me taking to consideration all ups and downs. I did major progress in my career development and now ready to leave that cesspool which I call my work and find better place to be.

No major disasters, no deaths in family although still miss my nan departure 2 years ago.

I dont have many expectations for next year. Just wanna find good job hopefully first quarter of the year and live my life with people that will respect me and good health to my family and handful of good friends.

It was a good year for me. Not a milestone year for me like 2012 (got married and bought a house that year) or 2015 (became a father) but overall work was good, marriage is going good, my kid is doing good. I am happy. Yup, good year for old Wormsy.

For everyone around me though, and the world in general, it was a bad year. The slump in oil prices continued to devestate the Alberta economy, costing my oldest brother and my older sister their jobs. My hometown of Fort McMurray took a beating at the hands of a wildfire in May. My brother-in-law's brother-in-law was one of the victims of the terrorist attack in Nice on Bastille day. My wife's mother and step-dad split up.

    Trump. Brexit. Aleppo.

No major disasters. Knocked quite a few places off my bucket list of places to visit. Finishing out the year debt free with money in the bank. No complaints here

A bad year for me but I finally found out I have low blood oxygen level caused by a hole in my heart that allows blood to bypass my heart and might be repairable. I thought it was my lungs failing and was getting things lined up to die.

Shitty. I started the year hopeful about making positive changes and getting my life in order for the first time in years. I ended the year fucked over by people I trusted YET AGAIN, had to quit school and give up on my plans to get a degree, I'm broke, and one step away from being homeless. Can't find a job or anything useful to do with my time.

My health also took a hit and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to live long without massive changes that I have no desire to make.

On top of that these dumb fucks elected a misogynistic retarded reality tv star as president. Angry at myself, but even more angry at everyone and everything else. Fuck everything.

Damn good year. Started my new job, crushed it. Went to Italy, which definitely could have been better if we didn't go with my wife's annoying friends, but was still good. Got a new car.

Looks like something what jackpot in lottery can fix. At this point of time money for me could fix everything.

Honestly it's probably the second worst year of my life. Everything really went to hell this year but I think it's also one of the best because I'm still standing. Dat silver lining.

But seriously I'm so ready for 2017.

    Amazing and challenging.

My kids became 2 yrs olds and I love them more than life, I've worked often 3 jobs while doing 50% of the childcare.

No near family have died, my crazy sister is no longer crazy!!

I got jacked by working out everyday.

Wow, reading that I just realised it's amazing I've fit it all in.

A distant unknown relative passed away naming my wife and we end the year finally looking forwards to not living hand to mouth and getting my kids out the ghetto before they start socialising with the locals.

    Fucking 9/10.

Well, 2016 had the worst and best things that's ever happened to me. I'm going to say that the good things made up for the bad, though.

8/10 It was a fairly good year. It could have been better if I had found a new job in Australia but I recently moved here so it is expected I guess. 2017 could be great, lets see.

Both terrible and good things happened.

Lost my mum in August this year. My dad had already passed 8 years ago so it was the end of an era and the only constant direct connection I have with my extended family.

We sold one of our businesses after starting it from scratch and running it successfully for over 8 years. Sad but happy to not have it any more.

We sold our family home which we had been in for 14 years. Sad but we also bought a brand new house which we love.

Our 21y/o daughter went off the rails a bit more. Sad
But my twin 17y/o sons both excelled at school. One got dux and the other a merit. Good
My best mate Tino is still with us (12 y/o French Bulldog) and my wife and I celebrated 17 years of a mostly great marriage.

Wow, sorry I just wrote a lot. Apologies but carthatic to write it all down. I know most won't read.
