I mean, he should've steped in and gave the goddamn mouthpiece, he was going to do this but he was afraid to get in. Then Anderson does the flying knee and Herb is just extremely confused. Bisping now has an asterisk win instead of a full win he should've

You're not supposed to split up a fight when one is engaging, only when there's a break in the action or a stalemate.

Yeah, I think herb played it right. And bisping was out of line so it falls on him for eating the knee. There have been plenty of cases of mouthguards coming out, the ref scooping it up quick but not halting the action until the pace evens out. If the guy goes on the attack you shouldn't be intervening unless there's a foul involved. But I agree with the decision for the fight to go on. The round clearly ended, and bisping responded to herb dean addressing him. Any extra time he received came as a result of Anderson's premature celebration. So has no one to blame but himself for not following the refs commands. Had he just went to his corner, and the fight restarted after 1 minute. He probably could have sealed it. But it didn't happen.

Silva should have just punched him a couple of times and Herb probably would have stopped it. Doubt he heard the bell since it was so loud after he landed the knee.

Herb has been consistently the worst and most incompetent ref for the past few years, and that's including that female ref that referred the Miesha/Cat fight.
